New research recommends taxing red meat and processed meat to save lives.
Good morning everyone, I've just listened to this article on radio 4 about how taxing red meat would save lives, it is based on research by the WHO (world health organisation) which shows a link between eating red meat and processed meat as a carcinogen. Denmark already has a red meat tax and other governments

Take Another Look at HCL
In one study US researchers found that over 30 percent of men and women past the age of 60 suffer from atrophic gastritis, a condition marked by little or no acid secretion. (8) A second study found that up to 40% of postmenopausal women have no basal gastric acid secretions. (9) We know acid is needed

Type 1 diabetes awareness,
Good morning everyone, Most people are aware of type 2 diabetes which has links to obesity and a genetic disposition. But what about type 1 which's believed to be caused by the immune system wrongly attacking the pancreas where insulin is produced. So it's an autoimmune disease and this is a hard one

Day 1 Done!
I can’t believe it but I just finished DAY 1 run! I feel amazing. I am doing this for my anxiety and depression. I have opted to make lifestyle changes as a first step to regain my life back. I also have some baby weight to lose as well. I feel empowered.

Food and insulin
My sister who now has diabetes t2 is finding it hard to control her sugars - like myself really. She says many times to me that Atleast you can eat carbs and then take your insulin then your sugars will be down...she doesn't take insulin at the moment. I'm just wondering how can I explain to her that

Low carb as a treatment option for Hyperglycaemia included for the 1st time by ADA and EASD Consensus Report 2018 They have included it as there is science behind it. However they will still downplay it as widespread usage of Low carb by all diabetics will collapse the business of their "Partners"
