My cholesterol is slightly high I have just discovered. I switched from semi-skimmed to whole milk, and have butter instead of margarine, because I read that the fats in margarine were bad fats. Considering giving up on dairy altogether now and trying to be vegan but then will how will I get the right

But last Monday I was unwell and I went over my calories a bit with comfort food! Only by about 300-400? And I was off work three days but still

Happy Days and park run
Two good things happened this week, I started the c25k because I was over weight had type 2 diabetes and was lazy. I started and was helped a lot by my wife to follow a no sugar diet which allowed me to loose the first 1.5 stone so my knees didn't give up when running like the last time I tried c25k

Use of wheat for a long time increases sugar levels?
I am 63 yrs old and Diabetic since 15 years. I have been using wheat chapatis after diagnosed as Type 2 Diabetic almost every day replacing rice since 7-8 years. But, I am told that use of wheat for many years may lead to rise in sugar levels. I am not a Gluten sensitive person. Please clarify.

Suddenly large baby, no gestational diabetes or polyhydramnios at 34 weeks. Outcomes?
Hey I am 34 weeks today. I had a scan 3 weeks ago and babies estimated weight was around the 50th centile with a slightly large abdominal circumference in the 90th centile. I had tested negative for gestational diabetes at 28 weeks, so no one was too concerned at that point. But I had another scan 2

Has anyone suffered with polyhydramnios during pregnancy?
I am a little worried, I am 31 weeks pregnant. I have another check up scan - not until 3rd July to check after they first found I had too much fluid. I don't have diabetes (I have been tested) The scan showed my baby is perfect size for his age. I dearly want to have a natural birth but I am quite big

Hi all, Not sure if I'm in the right spot, but here goes. I'm a 26 year old female, no health problems that I know of. I went in for a routine shot (HPV shot #2 of 3). While in the waiting room I consumed a vanilla latte and a sugar cookie. I had no idea that the doctor had also ordered a blood

Alpha 1 antitrypsin question please
Hi- can anyone help? My GP recently requested a blood test for alpha-1 antitrypsin due to some wheezing I have, and a strong family history of COPD. The blood test that was carried out was Serum protein electrophoresis, which came back normal. I asked the GP if A1AT is included in that and she said yes

Loperamide alternative
I wonder if anyone has tried alternatives to loperamide. I currently live off a cocktail of codeine and loperamide to slow motions to anything near normal. I’ve used this combination for a number of years follow internal pouch surgery. Are there any good alternatives? Any advice really appreciated.
