I Want It To Stop!!
Hello, I'm Ami, my birthday is 04/05/93. I'm on the implant - have been since I was 16 - I don't get any bleeding whatsoever. (I started my periods at 11 and they were SO heavy and painful and getting the implant five years later was bliss! Still had pain but nothing compared to before.) I'm not

Hi, I'm new here!
Came on this site although its Scottish and I'm in the south of the UK cos I'm not recovering and Scotland is sure a lot closer than South Africa which seemed to be the only other options. Don't get me wrong, I love Scotland, or at least some of it, especially Glasgow to Inverness inland. Had a BF/soul

C25K: A method of injury recovery
OK... Let's establish a few background facts: 1. I was previously a semi keen runner who had completed a Half Marathon in c2 hours and used to go out 2 to 3 runs per week for 40 mins. 2. The above is factually correct but for every week/month where I did regular runs they'd be stretches where I do

Please is anyone able to share experiences of reducing/coming off morphine?
For the past year I have been on large doses of Oromorph and on the advice of a gastroenterology consultant I am trying to wean myself off (or at least get the dose down) to see if that improves my stomach pain and nausea. I have managed to bring the daily dose down by almost half over the past few weeks

New member - Back Pain - please help
Hi there I am hoping that this post will perhaps allow someone to give me their experiences on whether recovery from this back pain is possible. I'm so desperate and I'm sorry for the number of previous posts but I'm at my wits end. The doctor has said that I am going through an acute phase which

Still Can't sleep!
The anxiety wouldn't let me get to sleep so I tried another diazepam, having just got them today from the dr's. Still can't sleep. I think they've helped a little to take the edge off the anxiety, but my mouth is so dry and I'm still lying in bed feeling exhausted but can't sleep due to the waves of

An apology and a huge hug of thanks
Good morning to my lovely family! I am, as you can see, alive and well (ish). Still in quite a lot of facial pain but much better than yesterday. I waited for 2 hours last night huddled in a corner of the gp's waiting room holding my wheat bag to my face and quietly crying into it. The cleaners kept

Day 8 of back pain
I've now had back pain for 8 days although its only been this bad for the past 6. I went back to see the GP yesterday as the morphine and diazepam isn't helping. The only way I am comfortable is laying down in bed and after 6 days its driving mad. He referred me to the orthopaedic consultant at our local

Has any female with AMN had kidney problems? I was diagnosed with end stage renal failure early this year. Came out of nowhere.
I am 65 and started having AMN symptoms in my early 40's. I was diagnosed in 1998 after my second one week visit to the Mayo, first visit was in 1991 with no diagnosis. Then the very long chain fatty acid link with AMN was discovered and that is how they finally discovered what I have when I went back

Anyone had experience of Citalopram as a treatment for anxiety?
I've suffered from bouts of anxiety for 10 years (only just plucking up the courage to talk about it publicly now!) I've had unsuccessful attempts at CBT and used Diazepam for short intervals to try and 'bring me down'. My latest (but usual pattern) of waking up in a crippling panic has been with me
