Another blood test result to consider
Hi, I've just done a bluehorizon blood test mainly for my vitamins (can't get this on the NHS yet, though I'm trying), but had decided to have my thyroids done as well. As a quick recap had a thyroidectomy last year due to papillary nodules, I'm currently on 137.5mg Levo only (I was on 150mg 2 months

Newbie looking for advice on recent test result
I was diagnosed with an underactive thyroid in april 2022. What a rollercoaster! Do I have an autoimmune thyroid disorder? My first test was looking at reason for a change in bowel movements and fatigue. Doctor responded directly to the TSH level and placed me on 25mg levothyroxine. Serum

Which Magnesium?
Hi all, I've been taking a Magnesium Citrate supplement for well over a year now (got a good supply) and originally started it for heavy, restless legs and sleep problems. I have now come to the end of my supply and 4th day in, without it, the symptoms I've described have re-appeared! My question is,

Has anyone with IBS had to take
Potassium
Citrate
mixture to try and prevent further production of Kidney Stones. It is known for upset Stomach and D. I have been prescribed this mixture and have been taking it for about a year now and seem to have much worse IBS D symtoms after a main meal.

Eating tip
for those who can’t eat too much. I recommend a smoothie first thing in the morning. my smoothie contains: fresh blueberries, fresh strawberries, lime or lemon juice, honey and milk. I also alternate between banana’s and avocado. hope this helps someone.

Dosing with Potassium Chloride
Hello, The potassium/sodium balance is identified as an important driver of high blood pressure. This is what I believe underlies recommendations to consume fresh fruit and veg to help high bp. The only issue is that with busy lives etc it is sometimes difficult to keep up with the 5/day recommendation

ROPINIROLE IS THE DEVIL FOR SURE!
First developed RLS years ago, but didn’t even know it was a condition. I thought I was simply going off my head, until a nurse in hospital noticed the uncontrollable violent thrashing id do with my right leg (initially). She told me to go to GP when I was discharged and tell him about this unbearable

Recalls, Market Withdrawals, and Safety Alerts
I was searching for something else entirely when I found a recall for Magnesium Citrate I had bought last week and never used THANK GOODNESS ! The thing is, I looked in 3 stores (pharmaceutical areas) before I found this one, last bottle at a local Kroger. Fortunately, I did not open the bottle

Does anyone has this rare kidney disease (familial hypercalciuria, hypomagnesemia and nephrocalsinosis)?
Not a single doctor figured out a way to treat my condition or in other words nothing worked for me like: (sodium
citrate
,
potassium
citrate
,
potassium
bicarbonate). Does anyone has this condition? I’m trying to prevent dialysis and kidney failure with a healthy diet only.

Update on magnesium supplement for missed beats.
I had Covid early in 2020 and immediately noticed missed heartbeats at a fairly constant rate. Quite a common after effect I've been told. Cardiology put me on a Holter and told me I had sinus node disease and second degree heart block and inserted a pacemaker to stop bpm going too low whilst asleep

Latest test results - can you help - I am barking up the wrong tree?
Good morning, this if my first post here and I was hoping that someone could help with interpreting my test results and giving some advice as to what I can do next! I had a somewhat disappointing consult with my GP this morning about my hypothyroidism. As a short history, back in early 2020 my hypothyroidism

Did anyone else listen to the talk about Electrolytes by Surrey ASG?
Very interesting, unfortunately i dont think it was recorded. Conclusions were to try and get enough Magnesium and Potassium from food, although results for Magnesium were inconclusive, it seemed to me that Potassium was key. I have heard bad things about potassium tablets in the past so i have been

Magnesium and other Supplements
Anyone taking Magnesium for their arrhythmia's or otherwise? If so, what kind -- citrate, succinate, taurate, etc? -- and what dose of mg are you taking a day? Brand names welcome. And what has been your experience? Also, besides good for your heart rhythm, one of the benefits I've read is blood pressure

Making rls manageable, a continuing story
I have had quite bad rls for the last two years and over time, very little sleep. However I have tried to persevere without drugs, although my GP has prescribed low dose codeine (15mg) which helped at first but I now try not to take. My rls is currently much better. It hasn’t gone away but it’s sort
