Advice on medichecks results

Hi lovely people I’ve just had my latest medichecks results and would like some advice please.

My results are while taking 12.5mcg T3 & 100 mcg thyroxine 5 days & 75mcg 2 days a week.

I’m due to have nhs bloods done and raised my T3 as it was 4.8 at my last test , my Endo weirdly said lower Thyroxine and keep T3 the same but I took the advice on here and raised it and feeling better.

My ferritin is high (199 top of range 150 ) CRP is ok.

I’m taking ingenious B complex vitamin D with k2 and magnesium citrate do I just continue with these or is there anything I need to increase ??

Thank you in advance x

If you're coming to the end of your Igennus Super B then I'd change brands for your next purchase. Igennus contains Vit C and that can stop the B12 being absorbed, they should be taken 2 hours apart. Your B12 is rather low and it's recomended that Active B12 is better over 100. So maybe consider Thorne Basic B next time. 1 capsule daily should be enough.

Your Vit D is just within the range recommended by the Vit D Council, the Vit D Society and Grassroots Health (100-150nmol/L) so now that summer is here the sun may help push it up a bit as well, I'd continue with whatever dose D3 you're taking and retest end of October/beginning November to see if you need to adjust your dose for the winter.

If you feel well on your current dose of thyroid meds then they're showing decent levels and no need to change, hopefully your endo understands that taking T3 will usually suppress TSH and not require you to lower your dose(s) to get it into range.

You could get one bottle of a sublingual methylcobalamin 1000mcg and take alongside the B Complex. Once that bottle has finished then just continue with the B Complex, there should be no further need for separate B12.

Some people do well with the BetterYou spray but some don't.

My choice has always been Doctor's Best D3 softgels.

If you want a combined D3/K2 then check out this one:

It may also be available on Amazon.

You could mention it to your GP but to be honest I think it might have to be much, much higher for a GP to worry about it.
