Too many people have had terrible results from all these prescriptions. Doctors do not have the time to stay up with research on these

An interesting observation about anxiety and constipation
I've had increasing trouble evacuating, but I've recently discovered something interesting that may or may not be useful to others. I hope it will. I use vitamin C and magnesium citrate to help the process along, but even with that, I found I was having trouble and that made me feel --- STRESSED, ANXIOUS

Statins
Apologies, this is a very long post! Statins are known by members of this forum to trigger/exacerbate RLS, although the NHS doesn’t formally recognise this. Hi Sue
I take 1200 mg gabapentin but in bed, 600mg getting into bed, and then 600mg in the middle of the night. This is partly because I have mild ADHD and am quite forgetful. But I don't suffer from RLS anything like some of the poor folk on here. Also I take the following supplements . 1g of vit c. 300 mg

Magnesium for RLS
Merry Christmas! While I've said the below in various Replies, I thought I'd put it in a post. I've been taking at least 400mg a day of magnesium citrate for some years now, since I had it recommended to me by a relative: 600mg a day initially stopped my RLS within days, and 400mg a day (the amount suggested

Stage 3, only followed by a nurse practioner who is doing nothing.
Have a 2mm kidney stone parked mid left kidney for 2 years and counting (taking
potassium
citrate
for that; have passed kidney stones before - not sure if I want this one to stay there forever at 2mm or get rid of it while it is small LOL). Chronic UTI's.

Calcium needed or not…?
This is an open-end question, for which there might not be an answer. After diagnosis of PMR my Rheumy prescribed a DEXA scan. Showed mild Osteopenia. Was told to take 1,000 mg / day to help prevent degrading into Osteoporosis as taking Prednisone can progress that disease. So, started reading scientific

High Blood Pressure (Hypertension) - Hypothyroidism
Hi everyone, Does anyone have experience with being hypo having high blood pressure. I am a 45 year old male - I am in pretty good shape. Exercise everyday and eat pretty healthy. I finally got my thyroid within range. I kinda neglected (only looked at tsh) it for the last couple of years.

Constipation. A smooth number two makes my day!
Hello T-warriors I have constipation. It is genetic and also, I believe, due to high doses of antibiotics as a child. In essence, my digestion is skewed and it is hard for an easy number two! I also have a bloating belly and feel digestion grew more complicated taking senna tablets long term. senna

Potassium!
So I started eating bananas rigorously, also bought some decent-strength
potassium
citrate
, 500 mg tablets, and slowly increased these, always being aware too much K is also bad for you. After a couple of weeks I felt things were improving and at present I've been on them for 5 weeks.
