Magnesium and Sleep
After reading the good reports posted on here regarding magnesium helping with AF I thought I'd give it another go (took magnesium years ago and it made my stomach really sore). This time I started taking 300mg per day of magnesium citrate by mixing the tablets with warm water each morning and then

Beginning vitamin supplements: testing needed?
Before starting on recommended supplements such as zinc, magnesium, selenium, etc. would it be unwise to take up to the RDA of each mineral if testing is unavailable / denied / too expensive? I figure that since it's very difficult to overdose from dietary sources for most things you'd have to be going

Sick of doctors and family
It seems like no one cares to help or diagnose me. I am only 19 years old and have been suffering not knowing whats wrong with me for too long I don't know where to go or who to turn to. I have had rectal bleeding, mucus, pus in my stool for months. I have been to my family doctor who sent me to a gastroenologist

Sole water
As adrenals are supposed to love salt, has anybody tried sole water in an effort to heal tired adrenals. Paragraph from website savorylotus.com states....... Let’s begin by noting that I am not talking about table salt here, which is made up of only sodium and chloride. What I am talking about is combining

Magnesium...
I am confused on the magnesium debate. I have just had magnesium citrate delivered and was planning to start on lowest dose of 200mg. But there is so much conflicting advice out there am now unsure if I should take it at all. On 10mg bisoprolol only, still getting AF occasionally and thought it would

Iodine Excess as an Environmental Risk Factor for Autoimmune Thyroid Disease
I have long been extremely cautious about the use of iodine in relation to thyroid disorders. Yet many people point out the high intake of iodine in Japan and suggest doses of as high as 50 milligrams a day. So it is particularly interesting that this paper originates in Japan and cautions about iodine

Epsom Salts Epsom Salts Epsom Salts!
I keep reading on the benefits of Epsom Salts in a bath and I thought I would explain a bit about it! Epsom salt is Magnesium Sulphate. The only reason it works is because a little of the magnesium is absorbed through the dermal layers (skin). Very little but enough to give a bit of relief and anything

How common is it for ibs to move to right side low in abdomen and into groin. Mine has been left usually but last couple of times it is quite low into pelvic region. Obviously I have had a ultrasound a few months back but it can be scary when you read ibs is always lower left. Just wondered if

What is the treatment for Sweet's syndrome?
The main form of treatment for Sweet's syndrome is the steroid (corticosteroid), prednisone. After steroids, first-line treatments include colchicine and potassium iodide. They can be given instead of or alongside steroid medication. Second-line treatments include indomethacin, clofazimine, ciclosporin
