Magnesium Citrate
A friend and fellow sufferer recommended magnesium citrate 200mg. I started taking it about a month ago and my symptoms have diminished to the extent I'm getting a good night's sleep. I'm not on any other meds so this has been such a positive result. Hope this helps someone else. Good luck to all Mariah

Magnesium Malate
Hi all. I've been taking Magnesium Citrate for two months and it helps a bit, but not as much as I'd hoped. I've been reading that Magnesium Malate is more effective. Does anyone know if it works? I also have night cramps and the citrate doesn't do anything for that.

I've kinda been feeling weak every since I started my potassium on Monday. My muscles just seem achy. Can you go into cardiac arrest with potassium supplements? Ugh talk about anxiety... My level was 2.9 its supposed to be over 3.5 I'm scared I'm gonna get too much and something's gonna happen! Please

Magnesium citrate.
Hi, I've heard magnesium citrate is good for constipation, but I couldn't find the liquid one. I bought the tablet form, 100mg in each tablet, and it doesn't say anything about helping with constipation. Will it work if I take these?

Ferratin testing
I've had my long-awaited GP appointment and took along some info about ferratin levels. She said I was tested a few years ago and all was fine, but I'm not sure she understands the test that I was talking about, the test I've read about on this forum. Anyway, she ruled out a test, said it was unnecessary

New levothyroxin making me sick
I have been taking Mercurypharma brand levo for many years (a 50mcg and a 25mcg daily) with no issues at all. A few months ago my pharmacist switched supplier to Teva and Wockhardt and I immediately started to feel unwell when taking them. I got bloated, gassy, had diarrhoea, constipation and stomach

Ropinirole Cold Turkey
Just thought i'd ask if anyone else out there has come off there DA's (Dopamine Agonists) cold turkey and what symptoms you had and for how long? Reason for this is, I've been diagnosed with RLS and a REM sleep disorder (unable to get into repair sleep) , but to be quite honest I've always been under

If you have IBS-D or regular diarrhea, read this
I have not used this personally, but I wanted to pass on this recommendation that I just found on another forum and that is apparently really helping other IBS-D sufferers: Have you tried calcium carbonate to help with your diarrhoea? It is an over-the-counter mineral supplement (not to be confused with

Some really good info on Magnesium...
This is to pass on some things I have learned, by experience, about taking magnesium for RLS. It is very helpful for calming the nerves, and helpful with sleep. Also relaxes the muscles. BUT, that does not mean just any magnesium! Magnesium Oxide is the worst. It is not well absorbed as a mineral

Magnesium Citrate
I try to get magnesium from Green Vegetables, and nuts. A friend suggested using a small dose of Magnesium Citrate Powder. I believe it is easily absorbed by the body. He said that an excess amount has a laxative effect. Have any of you PMR sufferers used this for muscle pain relief?
