Changing from ibrutinib to acalabrutinib
I have been on ibrutinib for two years and the results have been amazing - no lymph nodes, blood work within limits. However, I am getting rashes regularly, have fairly severe knee joint pain and fingernails splitting. From what I read from others these are all symptoms of ibrutinib side effects, and

Week 1 Run 2
Not far off completing the first week. Hated running at school, but feel energised by everyone's stories. I want to keep this going, got myself some lovely Brooks Glycerin shoes. Feel lovely and bouncy in them. Cheers everyone, keep at it! Roger

Chronic Constipation
I refuse to take anything with
polyethylene
glycol
(antifreeze is ethylene
glycol
and many pet food treats use
polyethylene
glycol
). I recently used a Metamucil off-brand. It didn't help at all. One Trulance tablet had me going potty on Tues at least 15-20 times w/in 3 hrs. Miserable.

Drink more water they said and new shoes
As most of you know I’m a bit of an intermittent runner, I try but fitting running round work isn’t always easy, I admire the people who get up at 5am and run before work but i haven’t managed that so far, I come home from work most days thinking I’ll just go for a short run, walk in the door, Willow

Skin prick testing
The 3 different strengths of miralax or
polyethylene
glycol
were tested. The first was negative. The second two stronger ones I did develop a bump but very small, with the highest strength being the largest bump.

Allergy to polyethylene glycol what does that mean for other glycols
Hi I had anaphylaxis last week to an arthritis medication and I have been diagnosed as having a
polyethylene
glycol
allergy. What I don't know is does this mean I am also allergic to other glycols like propylene glycol?

Natural vs Artificial Sweeteners
Xylitol, erythritol, corn syrup and high fructose corn syrup can be all made from corn. While corn is admittedly sweet, it doesn't taste sugary. It takes a lot of processing to turn it into this very sweet substances. My puzzle is, why are the first two regarded as artificial and the latter two, natural

Lecicarbon A suppositories
I`ve been diagnosed with evacuatory dysfunction and last week saw a colorectal surgeon privately who has referred me for a proctogram but in the meantime suggested I should try Lecicarbon suppositories instead of glycerol. He didn`t give me a prescription but said I can buy them over the counter. Looking

Supplement to restore joint health
I’ve been buying this for my dog for quite a while for his joints and the webpage says it is for humans too so I thought I would try it. https://wedeliver.nz/products/efac I have been taking it at 3 per day for a while and I swear it is helping. So if you have sore achy body it might be worth a try

It's My Runniversary! 😁😁😁
Yes I believe today marked 1 year since I started c25k! I feel I've come a long way 😁 from struggling around the local allotments too embarrassed to be seen, not able to run for a minute, to the joy of completing W5R3 🤣 followed by graduation and a sub 30 5k 😁 Within 6 months of starting I'd progressed

Moved house, new shoes, this heat is killing me & I'm scared to join parkrun :0
Okay yes its looong So it has been a busy, busy couple of weeks for me both personally and running wise. First of I moved house - same city, but different neighbourhood. Luckily this is just by my favourite running spot in a big park / forest! Running wise - injury wise, my physio told me I needed

Should You Get the COVID-19 Vaccine If You Have a History of Allergic Reactions to Infused or Injectable Medications?
Do you have a history of a severe allergic reaction to
polyethylene
glycol
(PEG), a polysorbate or polyoxyl 35 castor oil (e.g. paclitaxel) containing injectable or vaccine?

Anorectal manometry test
Does anyone have experience of this? After a long wait I have an appointment in 3 weeks and am dreading it. I want to get it done as it may explain why I am unable to empty my bowels properly but the information sheet says I don`t need to do any preparation beforehand (in the way of laxatives etc)
