Not far off completing the first week. Hated running at school, but feel energised by everyone's stories. I want to keep this going, got myself some lovely Brooks Glycerin shoes. Feel lovely and bouncy in them. Cheers everyone, keep at it!

Welcome and well done on starting the program!
Have you read the program guide ?
healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
It's full of helpful information to help you get the best out of the program!
Enjoy the journey!
Hi there, I hated doing running at school too (well, most forms of exercise to be honest!), but I loved doing C25k- it felt more like a fun challenge than running to me.
I would look at the run/walk split I was going to do before a run, think ‘no way can I run for x minutes yet!’ then be pleasantly surprised when I could, in fact, do it.
Just take it steady, follow the programme, and you’ll be running for 30 mins without stopping in a while!
If you have any problems/questions do pop back on here for support - everyone is so helpful and there’s usually at least one person who has been through the same situation and has some good advice.
Best of luck - and have fun 😁
The outdoors has infinite delights - enjoy the variety and fresh air! You've got the shoes so you're committed now. 😆 (Brooks are great - I'm on my second pair) Keep on posting your progress.
Thanks Fiona. I'm in Gloucestershire so a bit hilly. But I'm ready to go.
Oh boy did I hate running in school! C25K changed that.
Never ever did I think that I would be able to run for more than 1 minute let alone come to enjoy running. I started last February and am now doing Ju-Ju's Magic Plan aiming at 60 minutes and hopefully 10k by summer.
It can really be done. Just stick to the program and the tips in the program guide.
BTW: Those Brooks Glycerince shoes are really great. Got them as well.
Hi,I did W1R2 today too, went well, I managed all of the full 60 seconds, sore knee at the end but hopefully that will subside.
Hope you stick with it and it does you immense good.
Cheers
Wayne
