MethyLprednisolone acetate without polyethylene glycol

Doe anybody know who makes MethyLprednisolone acetate without polyethylene glycol? I need to get a shot in my hip but my Doctor says it has PEG and I looked at the box and it shows PEG 3350

I had a Methyl LPrednisolone shot in my back on December 28 and I am still sick today March 28th. That is the last time I trust someone to give me anything without checking the product information sheet that comes with all medication. This is what I now know. There are two options the shot you were told about and the following information.

Depo-Medrol (methylprednisolone acetate) and Solu-Medrol (methylprednisolone) are corticosteroids used to treat pain and swelling that occurs with arthritis and other joint disorders.

Depo-Medrol has PEG and from my research Solution-Medrol does not. BEWARE of gererics because they could contain PEG. Personally, I will never again trust someone giving me a shot of anything until I can see the package insert that came with the medication. I was also told by a pharmacist most all injectable contain a form of PEG. I am glad your physician told you ahead of time because I was not so lucky. Hope this helps.
