Anxiety about holiday
Hi I am going on holiday abroad on Sunday would usually be really excited but since developing a sun allergy earlier this year I just can’t get excited! I haven’t been diagnosed as having a certain condition but it’s looking like a rare (typically) condition called solar urticaria though my reaction

Potential problem!
Hello, new here :') After suffering with hives and angioedema since November 2018 and seeing a couple GPs and a dermatologist and having multiple blood tests and taking what feels like so many tablets a day (to no avail sometimes) I finally feel like I'm onto something. As I've been getting no satisfaction

Crawling....😡😡😡😭😭😭
Hi all, hope this finds you well? My skin feels like it's crawling again, I could pull it off from my scalp to my toes, making myself bleed n scab. The itching cant be down to high bilirubin, it must be the porphyria 🧛♀️. Dermol and antihistamines doing nothing, any suggestions at all? I will try anything

No medicine helped so far!
No medicine helped so far! This rash appeared out of nowhere about 2 months ago. It is itchy, and the skin hard almost like a rock without any elasticity. The bumps vary in size and redness. I went to Gp and he prescriped antihistamines and steroid cream. My blood tests were perfect. The condition

I huffed and puffed, moaned and grumbled but still did it.
Well I’m one of those people who enjoy this weather if I am under a gazebo, in the shade, and don’t have to actually walk around in it. So running is a real battle at the mo. I run alternate days in the winter and spring but I am struggling to get 3 runs a week in since it’s been hot. I’m not sleeping

Referral to respiratory?
Over the last 6 months my asthma has become uncontrollable. I'm currently on fostair 200, salamol reliever, antihistamines, steroids and montelukast. I'm taking my reliever 6-10 time every 30-60 minutes day and night. I'm back at my GPS Tuesday and they said if it's not improved with this latest course

hEDS and MCAS
Hi, I’ve recently got my hEDS diagnosis ( also got Fibro, migraines and PoTs) and alongside this I’ve been given a diagnosis of Mast Cell Activation Syndrome. I am really struggling to regulate my temperature and feel flushed and sick all the time, I’m drowsy and get such bad motion sickness, like even

Antihistamines reversed tumor-enhancing effects of myeloid-derived suppressor cells
Antihistamines include H1 blockers (loratadine, diphenhydramine, etc,) for allergies treatment, and H2 blockers (Cimetidine, Ranitidine, etc,) for gastric ulcers, gastritis. Here is the finding (kind of old July 2014): To reach their findings, the team analyzed two groups of mice. In one group, the researchers

Asthma stopped play
Well now I'm going to have to rearrange my week. This was supposed to be my short run outside. Got up late (too many snooze buttons), but still in time to dog walk and run. Started getting a tight chest during the dog walk but no sneezing, but by the time I had fed the dogs it was obvious I wasn't

Auntie Bleary-eyeds , Bleary words of wisdom, for coping with the heat on holiday and summer sun with PMR , Fibro and any Chronic Illness.
Well , folks how was your day? Do you feel as limp as the lettuce in a British Rail Salad? Are you struggling day and night with the added burden of Heat Intolerance that comes with Chronic Illness , Flagging Adrenals and Steroid usage. If not , you are lucky , and should probably consider a stake on

Middle Ear Infection Link with Tinnitus
I have massive sympathy for anyone that suffers from ringing in the ears as I have seemed to have developed this myself following on from a sinus infection where had seemed to had spread into my middle ear cavities through the tube that connects the ear and throat (Eustacian Tube Dysfucntion). Skin problems
This may seem trivial but I’m being driven up the wall by severely dry, itchy, tingly skin which has developed over the last week. I think it may be an allergic reaction to hair dye or body wash but who knows? I’m trying to keep it under control by moisturising and and taking antihistamines but they

Supplements/tablets for non allergic rhinitis
Hi I'm not sure if this the right community for this post. I suffer with non allergic rhinitis. I live in the UK. Antihistamines don't work. Are there any other tablets I could take that would be good for this?

Another 10k ✅
Second time of writing this. I don’t know what I do but I am forever losing my text. I even “selected all” just in case but forgot to copy!!! Anyway, after my disastrous 2k run with no inhalers the other day I decided this would be different. So inhalers done ✅, nasal spray and antihistamine ✅ , well
