Ten years on - if only I knew then, what I know now. (warning - long post)
I attended a “well woman screening” in 1999. I had no reason to doubt anything doctors said so without doing any research or asking any questions I agreed to have a tetanus booster vaccination and 10 days later I was paralysed with Guillain Barre syndrome, It took around 5 years to fully recover.

Does anyone suffer from oral lichen planus as well as thyroid?
Hi All, I'm new here. Last year I was feeling totally eshausted, my GP gave me B12 injection as this was low, I was to have this every 3 months. At the same time I was given my flu jab, shortly after I started developing a rash on my arms, feet, underarms, specialist diagnosed this as Lichen Planus.

Hi I am new to this forum but am trying to find some answers for my Husband, he does not use a computer hence me asking questions. He was diagnosed with bladder cancer about 8 months ago and after having his tumour removed he had BCG therapy for 6 weeks, This was followed up with a biopsy last week

E-Cig caused my illness........
I was diagnosed with Bladder Cancer in December 2015. Am currently undergoing BCG treatment after two cystoscopies. The first was to remove a tumor, and the second was a checkup. The tumor had spread to the prostate but only marginally. 3 days out of hospital and my urether was blocked with blood

Common Variable Immune Deficiency
Compared to other human immune defects, CVID is a relatively frequent form of primary immunodeficiency, found in about 1 in 25,000 persons; this is the reason it is called “common.” The degree and type of deficiency of serum immunoglobulins, and the clinical course, varies from patient to patient, hence

Rivaroxaban and hay fever type symptoms
Hi all This is a bit of a long shot but the clue is in the title! I have never had hay fever or anything like it but this year - I am sneezing a lot and have a really really runny nose. Much worse when outside.... I've been on rivaroxaban for 5 weeks and just wondered if anybody has had anything similar

Health Check: three reasons why sleep is important for your health
[i]'Healthy sleep helps to maintain appropriate immune function. Sleep loss may lead to alterations in immune function, resulting in inflammatory disease, an increased risk of cancer and infectious disease. One night of total sleep deprivation has been found to cause a reduction of natural immune responses

Dental work while on chemo.
I havent had any dental problems for years, halfway through chemo and i am having trouble with a top molar.I thought i had better check with oncology before i get work done, luckily as the doctor advised against any dental work while my immunity is low. So it appears that i will have to put up with toothache
