Good News and Some bad News, But Me I'm Optimistic Cuz it's Debbie Lol...

The Good news is that I'm covered by all the Fancy NYC Big Hospitals such as Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre where I forced my sis Nanny 24 to go & Mt. Siani, Hosp for Spec. Surgery and the like! The bad news is I just found out the Long Island Jewisj/ North Shore System/ now called Northwell Health Systems, where I specifically go to look for docs cuz it's best on the Island where I live, does not take my insurance because they're a conglomerate and bought up all hospitals on the island! Lol... It's ok I'm driving into the city tomorrow by myself cuz my sis is getting a colonoscopy today and tomorrow needs to work! It's ok I'm going to ask a friend who may not be working tomorrow to go! It's ok I just don't wana be alone if bad news like she said I have all the signs of a malignancy! I've been telling my Very Own Hemotologist/Oncologist that I've been going to FOT 13 years that I can't swallow since last June after my car accident and he just smiled at me! It's the Sjogrens I said and he said yes! Ok wen I went to my ENT she said why havnt your docs followed up on this! I said cuz they say it's Sjogrens! This is not Sjogrens she said! The only thing other than the big C is that it's GERD, but I've never seen GERD LIKE THIS! Years ago my Gastro guy told me u have the worst case of GERD I've ever seen! So maybe that's it! Being that I'm Debbie if it looks like, smells like, or acts like Cancer then it's NOT, it's a Rare Debbie thing like my Dad was! I got his blood type! He was allergic to the flu shot so am I!!! He in 1942 during WW11 was sent home from Italy and is in history books for first man to like after cutting most of his tummy out and for the fact there was a blood shortage during the war and my aunt was a UNIVERSAL DONAR AND SAVED HIS LIFE! So therefore I'm optimistic , but just in case it's bad news I don't wana be alone! Maybe it's better tho cuz I refuse any form of chemo and I need to make my own decision as to whether I tell anyone till I make my own decision! As sure as in sitting here for now I know no Chemo, but when ur faced with the inevitable you may feel differently! I'm just sick and tired of being told how complicated I am and think I wud get surgery and maybe Radiation, with a big maybe, I know I'm as stubborn as heck, but it's my body! I also know I'm jumping the gun a bit! It's probably a real bad case of GERD!!! Lol... I'm just venting and really not afraid because no matter where I end up I know I'll be happy and at PEACE AND THATS ALL I EVER WANTED! My Dad told me I was a peacemaker! He said BLESSED ARE THE PEACEMAKERS BECAUSE THEY SHALL INHERIT THE EARTH! He said it was a Beattitude from the Bible! He may have gotten them mixed up a bit, but it's what he told me!!! God Bless Y'all and May God hold Y'all in the palm of His Hand and care for you and keep you Healthy!

Hi, you certainly are an optimist. I am just the opposite. Being an RN I know that Nurses and Drs. always look at worse case scenarios. I admire your optimism. I am saying prayers that tomorrow will be a blessing. I suffered from Gerd years ago. I hate taking melds due to side effects. So I took Braggs Apple Cider Vinegar and mixed it with honey. Worked like a charm. Since it was not a drug I could take it as often as I needed it. You are so fortunate to be surrounded by such great hospitals. I am considering going to Sloane to see a hematologist while I am in New Jersey for the summer. Am currently in Ireland and feeling exhausted again. I may have to find one here to check HGB. Awe u must be so happy to be in Ireland! I want to go there so bad! I have to travel to NYC to c a decent doctor! But if I have the C word I'll definitely go to Sloan and they have an Anex for Sloan ten min away from me! Where do u actually live??? Thank you for ur prayers and kind words! This is a wonderful site to be on and get help for! I don't know what I'd do without it! Kerstin even reminded me of my car accident last year wen airbag went off in my face! Don't rule out chemo may even help with APS. chemo saved my life and you talked me into it. I would try the cider vinegar with honey like Kinsalelady suggested. Other people here and on thyroid UK suggested that too. Don't be a stubborn idiot like me. By the way I'm nanny 23 not 24 lol

You will get to Ireland. It is like going home. This is our 26 the trip over. Rain or shine it is awesome. We live 6 months in Loveladies on Long Beach Island on the Jersey shore in the summer and Vero Beach, FL in the winter. As I have said before, I really dislike my hematologist in FL. Must find one in NJ or head into the city. Get a good nights sleep. What time is your appointment? We will all be awaiting good news. Hugs, Harlie

I know silly it was a typo! I'm more stubborn than u I guess! I'm going to run away Mem Day weekend!!! Lol... But they Gota cure my throat with STEROIDS ONLY!!! Right??? Why is it not going away??? Wish I were there to go with you. All will be well. Just make sure you let us know. BTW, if you decide to use the Apple Cider Vinegar, make sure it has the "mother" in it. By that I mean it is very cloudy and unfiltered. Braggs brand is the best. Get some good rest tonight. We all are sending prayers and love. xxxHarlie

Good luck with the appointment! I hope its not the C word, but even a scary diagnosis is preferable to no diagnosis at all. Im keeping my fingers crossed and holding you in the light.
