@Iffette2 - I commenced BCG 3 weeks ago and am due for my 3rd of 6 sessions at 12.30pm tomorrow.

Other than having a catheter inserted and then removed from my penis which I don't enjoy one little bit, I am finding BCG very easy with no side effects to speak of.

I arrive at hospital at 12.25pm and have left by 3.30pm, after a free feed!

Depends on where you are in treatment. I've had 15 so far. Initially had 6 every week for 6 weeks. Then came the BCG shortage and couldnt have any for 6 months. So I restarted when it became avaialable and since had 9. They are normally 3 every 3 months with Cystoscopy in between. Then hopefully as treatment progresses and providing it does its job. I will be 6 monthly. Up until I have had 27. Hope this helps

I think the protocol for BCG depends on the severity of your non muscle invasive tumours, and the grade of cancer. I've heard of people only have three treatments and done. I have had 18, now a six month break between check ups and next cysto scheduled for June. Will see if I am prescribed more BCG maintenance at that time.
