Myofascial pain syndrome? & persistent knot in calf
I just posted this also on the Patient.co.uk/forum, but thought I would post it here too, so here goes: One of my first PMR symptoms was what I thought was a horrible cramp in my left calf, but it never went away, and was extremely painful when walking. I had recently undergone a spinal fusion, & had

Feeling downhearted.
I had a two level spinal fusion in December, 18 months after I had a disc replaced in my lower back, apart from the usual post-op pain and discomfort I felt I was doing very well. Then 10 weeks post-op I suffered a severe episode of lower back pain so bad I couldn't straighten out or get up from where

Introducing myself
Hello I’m new to this site although I posted the letter from my cousin to make you laugh like I did or at least smile. I hope that you do not feel this self-indulgent but this is the only way I can let you see why I feel as I do. In the 1970’s I fell through a trapdoor during a performance thus ending

Now HBOT has been proven effective to treat Autism
We can't heal this genetic neuropsychiatric disorder, but as the autistic cases are increased through out the world, we can reduce it by early diagnosis and treatment as well. Currently a study was done with 108 children with ASD symptoms along with cerebral perfusion [http://www.hbot-therapy.com/hbot-can-treat-cpp-along-asd

Good Early Surgery Outcome but frUstrating Warfarin management
Sorry it's taken a couple weeks to write an update on my one level spinal fusion but here it goes: my GP organized my presurgery bridging using LOVENOX. Felt like kind of a joke as my INR was only 1.5 ten days prior to surgery (my therapeutic range he agreed on is 2.5-3.5, which I only hit once since

Hashimoto's - finding a job
I really need some advice. About three years ago I had spinal fusion surgery in my lower back (they had to go through the stomach). I was off work but had been taking time off work anyway for a list of other problems - from migraines, fatigue, extreme brain fog etc. It took two years for me to recover

CT scan series part 14 – So, you are about to be CT scanned
Learning about CT scanning has been a work in progress. Doctors are not particularly knowledgeable about CT technology and large institutions employ many scanners of varying age and sophistication. CT manufacturers wouldn't talk so learning to ask the important questions has been a long process. Initially

Back to chemo
Was supposed to have major debulking surgery on September 24, but cancelled now due to fluid showing up around her lungs on the right side,
pleural
effusion
. Now the surgery is cancelled, and we have to do chemo again. Any one else have similar experience? Or know anything about this?

First day on IBRUTINIB
I'm hoping that it will improve my
pleural
effusion
problem (breathlessness) in the long term as well as improving bone marrow and neutrophils. That would be marvellous.

New CKD Diagnosis....age 43
Hi, I have recently been diagnosed with CKD Stage 3. I am 43 with 3 children 21, 17 and 10. The damage to my kidneys has come about as a result of taking Naproxen and Ibruprofen for approx 2 years for a spinal complaint. I stopped all medication following a successful spinal fusion in June 2012,
