So many questions
She has
pleural
effusion
and chest infection . She also has aceties. They have started on a morphine and anti sickness drug in a syringe driver. She is alert and they want to get her fit for treatment again. My fear is that syringe driver is end of life, is my mum dying and we don't even know?

The cancer had spread to some more of my lymph nodes, there was some activity around the bowel and I also had a small
pleural
effusion
on my right side. I started carboplatin and gemcitabine with Avastin. I had a scan after 4 cycles because I was feeling really bloated and full.

Spinal fusion L5-S1
Hello everyone, a few weeks ago I was extremely concerned about a surgery I was having, ( L5-S1 spinal fusion) well, I had the operation and everything went good. I had to stay in the hospital for 4 days as I couldn't walk for 2 days. It was extremely painful but it is getting better everyday. I am moving

How do I insist on different treatment from my doctor?
I can clearly see that I have a
pleural
effusion
, I have all the symptoms, but my dr. says he really doesn't know what it is for sure and sent me on my way. How can I insist on getting this drained! If I go to Emergency care, would they figure it out? Would they understand what I need?

Week 7 first run
I have just completed the first run of week 7 using the podcasts. Have to say these are great, I would not have done it without them. I had spinal fusion surgery 11 months ago and have not even been able to run for a bus in years, I walked with a stick 3 years ago. I have amazed myself with what I can

L5-S1 spinal fusion
OK everyone, I had my fusion Wednesday the 16th. Yes it is extremely painful but I made it and already feel better. I had 6 screw's 2 pins and a plate installed. That carved a peace of hip bone to help fuse everything. I can't walk too well just yet but really pushing my self. I guess I was scared

Have been told that Ramipril can cause AF. I take 10mg along with Bisoprolol 7mg, digoxin 250mg and furosemide 40mg,warfarin
for high bp and AF which has become persistent since November when I had bronchitis and then

Myocardial Perfusion
Good Morning everyone, I have my Myocardial Perfusion test tomorrow, not looking forward to being injected with the nuclear medicine as I felt really ill last time I had that done in a test. I'm very scared about this test as heart problems are prevalent in my family and my own father had open heart

I am new to the forum and have found it very helpful, I have had PAF for 5years although never had really fast heart beat not over 100 just
irregular pulse and aware of forceful heart beat, pain in chest and very light headed, I had a cryo ablation December 2012 but don't think it has been successful, I have not felt well since although seem to be in sinus rhythm, last October my cardiologist said as I was in sinus rhythm so to decrease

Good morning all. Please can anyone help me in finding an EP in Leicester. I got very fast and irregular heart beats last End of August and then again in September. I was in hospital and after loads of tests the cardiologist team said they think I have PAF... They have put me on bisoprolol 5mg a day

Newly diagnosed. How does PBC impact existing health problems?
Hi I was diagnosed with PBC four months ago after having a series of confused / dizzy spells leading to scans, blood tests. So I did all the practical stuff, I read the leaflets, improved my diet, took my Ursofalk and bar a few stomach upsets it was business as usual. From what I've read at this point

Pain Clinic, should I ask for a 2nd opinion?
I had a spinal fusion for scoliosis last July and although my spine is now straight I have been left in significantly more pain. Some of the pain is from my ligaments being pulled kicking and screaming into a new position and some from a sciatica type pain. I have difficulty walking, sitting, sleeping
