Future triple arthrodesis
Greetings, It was suggested to me by my foot and ankle orthopedic doctor that I undergo a triple arthodesis to my Rt foot. I have a severe flatfoot that greatly overpronates (turns in) and my foot is off to the side. I do have difficulty walking and get numbness, burning and tingling with weight bearing

After reviewing my most recent scan they felt the most likely cause was my right
pleural
effusion
which they gestimated to be about 2 litres. I was waiting to be seen by the pleural team when I ended up at my local hospital with upper back ache and pleuritic pain.

wrist arthrodesis- anyone had one
Hi, I have a date for a left wrist arthrodesis. I'm a bit scared. It seems like a successful operation and good for pain relief. My left wrist is pretty damaged from the RA and in constant pain. Often It's bearable and other times excruciating. I was told it would eventually fuse naturally but it could

Interstitial Lung Disease
I do have a small
pleural
effusion
on my right lung and since being on the trial I have developed a left
pleural
effusion
. I have regular chest x-rays and these
pleural
effusions have remained stable so my oncologist does not think they are resonsible for my breathlessness.

What causes pleural effusion (stage 4 Adenocarcinoma)
The chest X-ray showed a
pleural
effusion
and I am just wondering what can cause this? Does it always mean a malignant effusion? As far as we know my mum has metastases to her bones, adrenal glands and lymph nodes in her chest but no recurrence within her actual lungs.

Car fumes - potentially cause of Lung Cancer
The letter following the X-Ray states:- “There is opacification in the left lower zone suggesting a combination of
pleural
effusion
and consolidation. The rest of the lungs are clear. The heart size is normal”. In May 2017, I chose to leave my company to retire at age 58.

Slow AF
I recently had a perfusion scan which involved an ECG. The technician who looked at the results said I was not in AF but the consultant said AF was present but was 'slow'. I've not heard of this before. Does any one have experience of slow AF?

Good Scan News!
No metastasis, no FDG uptake in lymph nodes and only a slight
pleural
effusion
with 0 metabolic activity. WBC and Hg counts are coming back up. Slight increase in one of the tumor markers but we will watch and wait to see if there is a pattern. Yesterday was infusion #7 of Cyramza/Taxotere.

May or May Not have PC
My PSA is 44. Has been gradually increasing for about 8 years. I know the PSA itself is of little value, but see it as a tool. My Naturopath has had a number between 60-100 for 20 years. I would only become concerned if it started leaping upward. One biopsy was enough. Won't do another. No surgery. No

Hello everyone, I new on here and I am in the process of possibly being diagnosed with lupus. When I was 15 I had a major spinal fusion and shortly after my surgery I began having severe joint pain. Pleural effusion
My Mum has not had an easy time of it since her heart attack in March; triple heart bypass, cardiac tamponade, AF, low BP, haemotoma resulting in debridement and VAC. Further to her second discharge she became increasingly breathless, and she has just had almost a litre of fluid drained from her lung
