Ureaplasma infection?
hello…has anyone ever had vagina swabs that turned up Ureaplasma but struggled to get rid of it.? I had surgery to removed fibroids last year and since then each vaginal swab has come back positive. I can’t start my FET until I test negative but none of the antibiotics have worked to get rid of it. I

The NHS app
there have been a few posts over the last few months where posters have mentioned in passing that they don’t have access to their medical records or to the NHS app. Anyone who posts here is a little bit tech savvy … otherwise we wouldn’t be posting here …. so my suggestion is that people in this community

Hello. I was diagnosed about a year ago with stage 4 prostate cancer. I was on hormone therapy but that is no longer surprising the cancer. It is in my bones, currently spreading in my pelvic bone and lumbar. I hope to start chemotherapy in the next month. But with my current health I don’t know

Diagnosis Anterior Cutaneous Nerve entrapment syndrome?
I had my ovaries removed in February 2020 via laparoscopy. I had had laparascopic diathermy and laser treatment for endometriosis in my 20s and 30s, but eventually taking the progesterone only pill meant I had no periods at all which was a massive result for me and I took them until I was 52. Unfortunately

New and saying hi. Trish here from California.
I will be having surgery for a full thickness macular hole in my right eye on July 10, glad I found this place. I have been checking in, getting daily digest. Seeing how others are handling is very helpful. Obv. not thrilled about the face down thing, but I'm sure I will be fine, as have been so many

initial treatment question
I am posting for my husband. He is newly diagnosed and we have spoken to the urologist/surgeon only. We were told surgery or radiation were the options. The surgeon said he would remove the prostate, seminal vesicles and 2 lymph nodes. (Said these would be teated for cancer because although the scans

Post surgical exacerbation of RLS
Just an update to my previous posts about post surgical pain. I am almost 3 weeks post op after total hip replacement. I had asked about pain relief. Anyway, the pain has lessened although it was excruciating for 2 + weeks. My question is what can I do about the increase in my RLS? Since the surgery

Coming off of medication?
Hello, My husband (age 46) had a heart attack in December and had a stent fitted in his LAD artery. The surgery went well, all other arteries were clear, he attended the rehab programme and was coping well and was discharged. He’s on quite a lot of medication - aspirin, beta blockers, statins and ACE

high TSH and high T4
hi, I’d be grateful for your thoughts on this one. I’ve recently had two blood tests, one on 11th April with a TSH of 8 (abnormal) but T4 of 22 (so still just normal but top of the range). Then another blood test 28th June also with higher TSH of 11 and T4 high but normal at 21. I’ve had Hashimotos

Difficulty in getting bone scan results
Hi there I had a bone scan in October last year and after months of chasing finally got a call from my GP surgery on 7 June to inform me they had my results, that I have osteoporosis and need to go on alendronic acid. I have been checking my NHS app for the actual results but they've not been added

Ideas please
I had a total thyroidectomy 20 years ago for a massive goitre. I had been taking levothyroxine for 20 years prior to the surgery. The idea being that giving me the meds would stop the goitre growing but it didn't work. My levels have fluctuated over the years but I have never had any symptoms - until
