DHEA...not sure what to think?!
I stumbled on this extremely interesting article on DHEA: http://www.drdebe.com/articles/dhea-the-real-story In the past four years, I have seen two so called Hertoghe doctors. When I went to see them, I had been on T4 drugs for about ten years, so it was already established that I suffered from hypothyroidism

Mucin and how to get rid of it
I am on T3 for 2 years now (self-medicating - but doctors I go to know about that) and my life drastically improved on it. In fact all of my hypo symptoms are long gone and my life completely changed for the better. But although I lost weight since on it and water retention is less severe, on some parts

Diabetes connection, Metformin as a treatment
About 50% of Parkinson's patients have diabetes or un-diagnosed diabetes. Diabetic patients are twice as likely to get PD, but using metformin alone reduced risk of PD as if the patients did not have diabetes: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/22498320 Reduces weight and cholesterol: http://www.diabeteswellness.org

a-Syn misfolding blockers/repairers (updated)
This is an update of a previous post. The number of compounds that help in the test tube or mice is overwhelming. Unfortunately, there is not a standard test to determine which ones reach the human brain and work the best. It's not possible to take all of them. But the long list gives hope: there

Frustrated Diabetic
Type II diabetic having issues with controlling my BS readings. I take Metformin & Glipizide daily and also workout 4/5 times a week. Recently my BS have been high and I just read an article that recent studies indicate Metformin & exercise can be counter active and BS can go high if done together.

Looking for a Solution to T2?
This is a post I’ve had on the back burner for a while. I’ve been commenting and posting for a while and attempting to get a flavour of how people here consider type 2 (T2) diabetes and what to do about it. The general consensus worldwide from the medical community is that T2 is an incurable and progressive

Berberine or something else...?
I would really appreciate input from members having tried Berberine (Glycosolve etc) for borderline high blood sugar and insulin levels. I just read a very inspiring article by MD Julian Whitaker who recommends Berberine among other supplements for diabetics. Then, I stumbled upon an article by someone
