Fasting BS above normal

Hi i am 60. diabetic for the last two years. I am taking metformin 500SR at breakfast and dinner. Do morning an evening walk 1 hour. Recently tested HBA1c and it is 6.1. However my fasting level is always above 125 and PP between 140-150. Can anyone suggest how to reduce ? Does the medicine not working anymore?

Stop trying to cover a bad diet that raises blood sugar with drugs.

I'd suggest you are still eating the foods that caused your condition in the first place.

Limit your carbohydrates to green leafy whilst dropping anything white replacing them with healthy fats and research LCHF.
