newbie and waiting….
Hi! I’m a newbie. Backstory: mom and both sisters have Hashimoto’s. My mom passed in 2010 & was told she had “inflammatory arthritis” a couple years before she passed (although by then that was the least of her medical worries). Flash way forward: I started having ocular migraines, very brief (10 seconds

OCD Family vs. Dating Relationships
This is something I should have sought help on years ago, and am finally doing so now. As a back drop I have a daughter who is 16, and I've been living with her mom more like friends for the last 8 years. We've discussed separating when she is 18 and finished with high school. Over the past three years

Mobility Post ICU
Hi all, I’m a 37 year old who is one week home from hospital and two weeks post ICU discharge. I was on ITU for roughly 10 days - 6 of those in a coma on the ventilator for respiratory failure. My main concern post discharge are my mobility issues. I can walk, best with a crutch - but only for small

Stopped Solifenacin
Because of constipation side effect which was very unpleasant. Decided to come off Solifenacin. With my GP agreeing. Two weeks in and the withdrawal symptoms have been awful. Worst of all the pressure of wanting to pee all the time is worse than when I first started them. My GP has said she will

Tailbone Spasms from Neulasta
After my second dose of chemo (Docetaxel), I ended up in the ER with a fever. My white blood cell count was 1.2 K/CMM and Neutrophils were 0 K/CMM (!). Anyway, I was approved for Neulasta and had the injection 24 hours after my 3rd chemo infusion. Six days later I woke up with horrible pain and spasms

Physiotherapy
ain't cheap, but it would be a worthwhile investment to undergo a body MOT. An expert can assess whether you have any areas of tightness or weakness that could ultimately lead to injury and can then advise how best to address this.

Physio and CBD
hi. My mum (81) has CBD, diagnosed December 2019 but had symptoms for about 3/4 years before. Due to lockdown and other circumstances, she’s just started to see a neuro physio. Advice with my results please
Hi, I was diagnosed with under active thyroid in September and started on 50mg thyroxine. I have been symptomatic for a while (a few years), but was sent for bloods as my periods have gone nuts, results came back as TSH 8.7 and T4 14.8. I have also had a neck ache/headache pretty much constantly since

Update
Well after speaking with physio this morning and after her advice I think my running days are a long way away as like she and others have said running is not the best for osteoarthritis in the knee, she said cos I have had the cortisone injection that is is stopping the pain but it don't last forever

Bronchiectasis diagnosis.....really struggling :(
I was diagnosed with Bronch March 22 with a CT scan. I am 71 and 3 years ago I was working....walked my dog twice a day and led a very active life. I am really struggling to accept that my life now is very limited. I paid to see a Dr last August who specialises in helping people get the right treatment

My first post in Parkinson group! Neurologist suspects I do have Parkinson/Dystonia, would appreciate any input greatly !
Hello, good people! First time I’m writing in a group, although was following the posts here for a past month, trying to identify with my symptoms! Just recently, a few month ago was referred to Neurologist having sever muscles spasms / contractions, I thought was due to inadequate physical therapy I

Pegs, calf-strain mysteries and thanks
I thought I’d put down some notes of my walk-run-walk yesterday, as I happened to use my peg system to keep track of my jumbled thoughts running away with me whilst my feet kept also busy moving. And as we ( LottieMW MissUnderstanding ) recently chatted on the forums about trying to keep track of
