After my second dose of chemo (Docetaxel), I ended up in the ER with a fever. My white blood cell count was 1.2 K/CMM and Neutrophils were 0 K/CMM (!). Anyway, I was approved for Neulasta and had the injection 24 hours after my 3rd chemo infusion. Six days later I woke up with horrible pain and spasms in my tailbone. Two days prior I had physical therapy for chronic lower back pain and the PT did stretches on me (lying on my back with knees bent, she brought my leg up to my chest and to the side and I could feel a stretch in my buttocks). I’m wondering if the tailbone spasms was caused by the Neulasta (bone and lower back pain are side effects), or was the pain caused by overstretching by the PT. I didn’t feel any pain until 2 days after PT. I hope the PT didn’t crack a bone somewhere, but of course, she attributed the pain to the Neulasta. Anyone have similar tailbone spasms after taking Neulasta?? The tailbone pain has subsided after a day.

Muscle spasms are not a complication of neulasta.
