Advice on calf pain?
Week 2 run 2 done - but I'm now experiencing pain in my calf and would appreciate advice please. I'm not having any problems with the programme EXCEPT that since wk 1 run 3 I have had a pain start in the back of my right calf during the 3rd run of the session. Not Achilles, it's 2/3 of the way down

Anxiety around ACL injury
Alright, here’s a huge fear that just came up. I have an ACL injury from about 13 years ago. And I have never gotten surgery ... I’m not sure where the anxiety around it is coming from. At the time I went to physio and I swear to god they didn’t tell me that it was an ACL injury. My memory isn’t that

Stent fitted 6 weeks ago , some pain and twinges.
I had a heart attack in bed 6 weeks ago, and the took me direct to theatre identifying my middle artery was blocked. Hey fitted a stent immediately and I was released a few days later. I’ve been doing the exercises and kept up with the walking group with the cardiac rehab physio team, and I think I’m

Update on my recent post
First I want to thank everybody for the many kind and empathetic replies to my previous post regarding my herniated disc problems. I am actually doing better now. I don’t have back pain anymore but I am starting physical therapy next week. As for my low hemoglobin and red blood cell counts and my high

So happy to be back
Started in May19, I got to W5R3 and then had to stop due foot injury. Although I saw physio and podiatrist, the injury went undiagnosed until Dec19. Turned out that I locked my fib at both my knee and ankle🙄. 2020 was a run of chest infections and back problems so I have been very cautious and have

The Real Deal of MS continues on Recumbent Bike
My accomplishment today riding on my recumbent bike. I focus on time and distance only, not calories, Lol. I’ve worked up to 17 minutes and 3.2 miles the last two weeks. My Home Physical Therapy finished two weeks ago and since, I’ve been riding “slowly” on my recumbent bike 2-3 days a week. My future

Broken Shoulder - update
Firstly I just want to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who responded with tea, sympathy and tips when I first posted about breaking my shoulder. It really was so kind of everyone to take the time to add something and lovely to see so many names I’ve not seen before. I’m going for my first physio tomorrow

Endometriosis and inflammatory conditions
Has anyone with endometriosis (post surgery, pre surgery or just managing it) been diagnosed with other inflammatory conditions? I'll explain: I've been seeing my physio post surgery for lower back problems and inbetween surgeries for other things such as upper back / shoulder aches, neck aches, neck

One (or more) steps forward- at last!

Up to now, despite being on many medications and continuous steroids since January, I had not even had any blood tests or chest x-ray. So on Friday I saw an asthma nurse, physio and

A ‘real’ event, what a joy!
An early alarm (well early for a Sunday morning) was required this morning as I needed to be on the start line for 9.30am and there were a few miles to cover in the car to get to the venue. I was meeting my running pal at Sutton Park to take part in the Birmingham Running Festival. This was no virtual

So unexpected
My lovely husband died last week. He was admitted to hospital with suspected aspiration pneumonia, which they said they had caught early. After 5 days, in which I couldn't see him or speak to him due to covid, they said he was medically fit to come home but as his mobility was so bad he needed physio

Hip niggles and the IC
About 4 months ago, both hips were niggling after a run. I ran a bit less, was poorly after the first jab, had a long distance house move, but tried to keep going. Niggles weren't going away and were bothering me at other times too. So, bit the bullet and got a physio in our new area. Reckoned a physio
