The Real Deal of MS continues on Recumbent Bike

My accomplishment today riding on my recumbent bike. I focus on time and distance only, not calories, Lol. I’ve worked up to 17 minutes and 3.2 miles the last two weeks. My Home Physical Therapy finished two weeks ago and since, I’ve been riding “slowly” on my recumbent bike 2-3 days a week. My future goal is to ride my Kona Mahuna Mountain bike again.

Keep Fighting MS Friends and Stay Active! I learned that putting forth some effort (taking that first step) in starting something and being consistent goes a LONG WAY in time.

Good for you! :)

I need to modify my bike so I can balance.

I do miss it.

Our recumbents have yet to have been dusted off from storage all winter. We had a couple great weeks, after doing freeze after freeze after freeze. After having been tempted with weather in the high 80's day after day earlier this spring? Temps then dropped, with highs up to the 60's. GREAT FOR TRIKING! But didn't act quick enough. Now it's VERY Humid and getting into the 90's? Been using the air conditioner already! It's the middle of May in Chicagoland? Okay, need to move further North. Is 3-4 hours drive north far enough? Will it hold me till at least the middle of June? Now the question. Dust off the recumbents for this weekend, still tolerable? Nah, it's past, or get the boat ready to head back up to the Wolf River for the White Bass Run where it's a lot cooler? Last week there were literally 1000's of boats on the measly little river? Navigating around boats is a real challenge. All those crazy fisher men and women, averaging 0.12 fish per person on a daily basis??? It was when we were there. Most places, and we fished a lot of places over long hours the precious 2 days on the water. A place we tried, say 25 boats in view of spot XX. Fishing there 1.5 hours. 0 fish seen caught there. But that one other place, of the many, they caught a dozen in the same boat, right next to us, And what did we catch in 2 days on the river? Nothing! Didn't have to figure out how to get them all cleaned and prepped for the freezer. Do you know how long it takes to filet and process a couple large coolers FULL of fish, maybe 200-300 fish? Got to use an electric knife, for sure! Did that more than once before. Decisions, Decisions, Decisions. Do I overheat myself into needing ICE Bath Recovery rest of the weekend from biking in the Heat & Humidity? Or do I Die of Disappointed Expectations Fishing? It is absolutely gorgeous there, nature wise. Do I do it?

Only guide xyz, is boasted the fishing's hot. Not what he should be saying, the weather's hot!

Looking at weather for there, it is and will be too.

So you have racked up WAY MORE than I biking. BUT, I still do my 10K steps a day, okay, most days lately.

Is that a stationary one? Once I got mine my family had to follow suit.

I bought a stationary bike and still trying to just get one foot to swing over to the other side is a challenge. Hope to get better and get into a good routine. I have not been biking in years
