What I am learning about the Heart💖
Hi all, it is just me, newer, the stormy sunshine. The heart, and its sheltering branches are so important. They are life, breath, and sustenance. I never was educated as to how much lupus plays the part in our Heart. As the organ of life. It is my journey to undertake now, and I am sure it has been

Does Afib go on to become heart failure
I'm 64 and following a massive pulmonary embolism last year they discovered I have afib. On Xarelto, Bisoprolol and Amlodipine for life for both conditions now and I have had one cardioversion, which lasted three days. They don't know if PE caused the afib, or the afib caused the PE - I suspect the latter

High Blood Pressure despite drugs and risk of relapse back to persistent AF
Hi all, would appreciate some shared experiences. My MRI suggests high BP as a main precursor to my AF, quickly got persistent but luckily well treated so far, since my ablation in July. But ironically since starting to get fitter again and getting my weight in check, my BP has been going up again, averaging

Resting heart rate on NDT?
I saw my GP yesterday for a blood pressure checkup. I was put on perindopril 10 mg two months ago after my blood pressure reading came back at 170/92. Yesterday, it was 112/81 so doctor was happy. However, my resting heart rate is 95, and she said that's too high and most likely due to being hyperthyroid

Can I work round this, do you think?
I take Amlodipine to reduce my blood pressure. I read that Cialis/ tadalafil, taken regularly in very small dosage, will reduce my BP as well as combat my .ED - all obviously subject to professional opinionl Has anyone any thoughts?
