Water /kidney infection

A recent a fib diagnosis on 5mg apixaban x 2 day and 1 x2.5 bisoprolol daily also on atoravastatin and amlodipine since starting new mess have itchy skin tired all the time constipation an now either kidney or water infection not sure what meds are causing this as I also have copd didn't feel like this before even with copd I had more good days than bad

Bisoprolol causes me to be tired all the time...

I was on Bisoprolol for some years and yes it does make you tired all of the time. I was not sleeping too well either. Since changing to Nevibolol I can stay awake all day and sleep much better at night.

I have been on bisoprolol for two years (.25 mg) constant runny nose and cold hands(Raynaud's) asked doc. for change, prescribed carvederol helped with nose and cold but heart rare shot up, I was wary of continuing carvederol so as I had some bisoprolol left went back on that previous probs returned! Don't know what to do, has anyone else been on carvederol and if so do you know if it takes time to effect? Thanks

Thanks still at the start of my a fib journey but very anxious still as I have copd as well so some symptoms are similar chest pain muscle pain cough trying to stop stressing just not sure of meds as on Amlodipine Atorvastatin tiotropium for bp n copd Now Bisoprolol and Apixiban think I need to go back to gp to check on meds I hate taking pills

Yes I have itchy skin, tired and since starting anti-coagulants I very often have water infections. I know everyone is different but I wouldn’t have thought that 1.25 bisoprolol would affect you too much with the tiredness as it is a very low dose. However everyone is different.

Regarding the anticoagulants, I was on rivaroxaban to start and almost straight away I had a water infection and I’ve never suffered with that problem before. I was changed to apixaban last March and sInce then just (touch wood) one infection, so I personally thinks it’s the anticoagulants causing water infections.

Bisoprolol is x2.5mg daily

Sorry to hear of your problems. From experience with COPD and Bisoprolol I think there is a great possibility that, that is the drug causing your tiredness. I have a lung condition as a cause of parox Afib was put on Bisoporolol and could not even accept 1,25mg a day. Tired and weak feeling. After having stopped the drug I feel much better and have not had an increase in Afib just yet. All your changes in medication must be discussed with your doctor.

Still not seen gp for follow up as app was cancelled due to computers being down seeing another gp tomorrow not one who did 1 st Ecg Hosp dr put me on Apixiban and Bisoprolol but not felt right since starting them 16th Dec had no test results but copd symptoms seem to have decreased and not really had many a fib signs apart from ache in chest but have had water inf and itchy rash that comes and goes and trapped wind so still in dark with everything and truly think 1st a fib was caused by panic and anxiety as the same day a family member who has bipolar had a huge row with his dad and really panicked me and shortly after I had chest pains so would love a definite diagnosis as am feeling very confused would appreciate your views sorry if a bit long winded I mentioned odd heart beat to gp when I was put on be med s 6 years ago but was never checked out for anything !?

Should have read put on copd meds 6yrs ago saw gp today my gp not available just told me to continue with meds and gave me omprazole for trapped wind relief and said i need another blood test as was showing meds may be affecting my liver need to find some more answers as to what type of a fib etc so more confused now !
