What was that about? 🤔
My BP has been a bit erratic for a while, normally a little higher than I'd like, 145/90 ish, but had been around 185/112 first thing in the morning. So, talking with the Dr, she suggested Amlodipine 5mg to go with the 10mg Ramipril I've been taking for years. OK so far. But this afternoon I had a weird

Has anyone successfully used Dr. Peatfield´s Adrenal Fatigue protocol?
I have read several articles by Dr. P where he stresses that treating and optimising adrenal health is crucial before adding thyroid hormone. He recommends using glandulars or HC/prednisone (depending on how severe the condition is) for 8-12 weeks and then trying to wean off it and see if the thyroid

Controlled heart rate?
Hi, I finally managed to get a phone call with my Cardiologist who performed a successful CV back in October but I soon went back into Persistent Afib. Since then I have come off Bisoprolol ( breathlessness) and Verapamil ( possible adverse reaction), all in a previous post. The outcome from my call

Coming off drugs b4 ablation
I’m on amlodipine (Ca channel blocker) and metoprolol (beta blocker). Plus flecainide (Na channel blocker). All fairly low doses. I have to come off them before my fourth ablation for four days so not looking forward to that. Anyone experienced withdrawal symptoms doing same?

Blood pressure meds
hi lovely people, I take very high doses of levothyroxine and liothyronine and feel great when I do, there doesn't seem to be any side effects caused by them. However, I have developed blood pressure (genetic cause) and I've been given Amlodipine. Any thoughts as to what the combo will do to me?

Amlodipine
hi I have many symptoms of hEDs (I was kind of diagnosed when my dd was), I take levothyroxine and liothyronine for thyroid and I've also been diagnosed with highish blood pressure and I've been given Amlodipine. Will these meds cause me any issues do you think?

Amlodipine
hi, I've been prescribed a very low dose of amlodipine, but I had (gall bladder stone caused) pancreatitis this time last year, I'm just starting to feel OK after it. Should I take this?

Off beta block and Flec prior to Ablation?
I’m scheduled for my fourth (final?) ablation this time for atrial flutter. The EP asks me to stop taking Metoprolol (50mg 2x) and Flecainide (50mx 2x) four days prior. Additionally to stop amlodipine day of procedure. What are peoples’ experiences who have done this? I’m currently back in NSR due to

Flutter & Afib
I'm in permanent fib for last 8 years. Recently getting a flutter. No pain or discomfort just a bit weird. Came off of Bisoprolol and Amlodipine couple of years ago due to side effects. Doctor agreed. I know I have to make another appointment but would like to arm myself with some knowledge before.

Can I take my 112mg levothyroxine first thing in the morning and at the same time as my 5mg Felodipine? (Blood pressure tablets)
Hi everyone, I usually take my levothyroxine on its own at about midnight. However, I possibly now need to take sleep aid tablets at night, so I am thinking of changing times and taking my levothyroxine first thing in the morning instead. However, first thing in the morning I have to take my high blood

? Bursitis
I recently had the sudden problem of swollen legs and feet, the doctor told me that I should stop taking Felodipine ( which I have taken for twenty years) and it worked, which raises questions about what the heck is that all about ? However I am left with what could be described as giant blisters of

Uh oh! 🤪
My BP has been a bit erratic for the last few months, especially first thing in the morning, pre meds. So I've been in touch with the Dr and had Amlodipine added to the cocktail and its had the right effect but there's still room for improvement, so it was suggested I take the Amlodipine in the evening

Teva felodipine
I have been on 2.5mg felodipine for a good couple of years, it’s a different make every time a prescription is dispensed. The last lot I got was Teva Folpik and have been really poorly with burning and pins and needles sensation throughout the body, itching, feeling nauseous, dry mouth, abdominal pain

Stroke on Apixaban
I was taking Apixaban for paroxysmal AF after a catheter ablation several years ago, which mostly cured me of the debilitating bouts of AF which I was suffering. The paroxysmal AF was hard for me to notice but detected by a monitor, and 'self terminating', so I declined Flecainide as I didn't fancy
