Whooping cough side effects
Hi everyone, I had a whooping cough vaccine done yesterday at my GP. Despite COVID-19 it felt extremely safe as my GP is 5 min walking and they don’t let anyone in. The nurse maintained 2 meters distance and the shot was just 1 second when she got close to me. However, I am experiencing such horrible

Covid positive?
Hi all, I was admitted to hospital last Thursday due to an asthma attack and I was swabbed for Covid. They started me on a new medication for my asthma (uniphyllin) which has given me awful heart palpitations. So I had to back to a and e today as my heart was beating at 170bpm. When I got there they

Anyone experience dull ache?
Hi everyone. This is my first time here. I was just wondering if a dull ache is a symptom anyone suffers from? I quite often (at least twice a week) find myself with these painful dull aches which will usually go with some paracetamol but I very rarely have the urge to move my leg. Tonight is the first

What is a ‘normal’ period vs. An endo period?
My periods usually last between 5-7 days. They are at their heaviest in the first two days and then will get pretty light, the last couple of days all I will need is a panty liner. (Sorry if TMI) I have had blood clots in the past however it has never been something that’s alarmed me. In regard to the

Pain
I was recently diagnosed with Liver Fibrosis 8.4 and then Covid19 hit so there hasn’t been any follow up. I seem to have more pain than before the diagnosis! Is thus psychosomatic or has it progressed? I don’t know what to do for the pain as apparently Paracetamol are bad for the liver?? Any ideas? Thanks

Do I carry on with asthma plan?
Started pred 4 days ago, shielding on multi inhalers and xolair. Have asthma plan peak flow optimum 470, at mo 310. So continuing plan, resting. However having periods of SOB, racing / slowing heart rate between 130-48, oxygen levels 84-86%, no temp above 36.8 but very dry and very hot to touch skin.

Unsure if my symptoms are Endometriosis?
Sorry if this is long. Just some background: I’m currently 25. No babies, no pregnancies and no other gynaecological problems (or any health problems for that matter). I’m a healthy weight, BMI is 18.8 roughly. I started my periods when I was 12. For the most part they were always unproblematic. I did

Do I need to worry about taking 2 paracetamol and 1 zapin together
I took paracetamol about an hour ago. I then went to get ibprofen but accidentally took I 1 zapin. Should I be worried ? Zapin was in the same box as ibprofen.

How long did you have PMR symptoms before your Diagnosis?
Thinking about how long I had PMR symptoms before my Diagnosis, the best I can come up with is about three years. Never heard of PMR until my Diagnosis. I thought I had age-related arthritis like I was given to understand many older folks get. My former Dr. had zero interest/help when I complained

Post stents thoughts and feelings
Hello my lovely heart family Well it’s been just over 24 hours since my procedure of one stent in RCA. In my opinion I have been so far a rollercoaster of emotions... here is my personal thought processes that I have had whilst analysing my condition ... I will start with my positive thought process.

End of life medication?
My father is in final stages of PSP, has been in bed for months including being on oxygen most of the time. He is currently running a temperature and had a strange lapse into limp unconsciousness. His temperature has since returned to normal but it seems odd and the GP says probably best not to send

lymph nodes in groin???
was just drying myself after shower and was stunned to see a whole bunch of what I assume to be lymph nodes in my left groin. There were about 5 or 6 and really prominent. They started to go down a bit after I had been feeling them and by the time I took the picture - but you get the general gist.

Paracetamol and Levothyroxine
I had a knee replacement 8 weeks ago and although I am recovering well, I still need to take painkillers and will for some time apparently. I no longer need to take strong painkillers (Morphine etc.) but am on 2 paracetamol 4 times a day. I have to take my last dose at 10 (ish) when I go to bed as, even

CBD to help endo&IBS pain?
I started smoking weed socially about 2 years ago (maybe once a month). I noticed how much it helped my endo pain alongside my IBS AND my sleep. My pain has been excruciating at the moment and I cannot smoke weed all the time ( due to living with parents, money etc). I’ve done a lot of research on CBD

Over the counter painkillers
Hi, I’m new on here. Just been struggling with odd pain over the past week and it seems similar to fybromyalgia. Don’t want to bother the GP for now, am trying to manage pain with paracetamol but it’s not working very well. Any suggestions for self managing? Thanks

A couple of thoughts..💔
Good Morning friends, I had a good nights sleep all considering, I woke up at 5am. I thought I’d be in pain during the night (so I took a paracetamol just after dinner), but I wasn’t. No bleeding at all. When I woke up I thought how quickly my body has reset: my breast has shrunk and gone back to normal

Good afternoon
Good afternoon everyone. Well I am now in isolation. I have a head cold with a chest infection. It is related to my asthma but, I am immune compromised due to medication for AIH and PBC overlap, plus hashimoto's and asthma. I currently take budesonide and urso until I see my consultant or rather speak
