Hi all, was wondering if anyone else had suffered with Very painful shooting pain in heal?

I completed 2nd run of week

2 yesterday on my treadmill for the first time, normally run on tarmac car park. Awful pain in my heal woke me up at around 3am, the pain is so bad I haven’t been able to get back to sleep. Took paracetamol but didn’t help, tried hot bath, foot up, foot down and also tried wrapping my foot up but the pain is so bad. Would love to hear if anyone else has had suffered and more importantly how to make it better asap. Thank you 😊

I did experience something similar many years ago and posted something very similar to your post, to which I had no responses.

My case was not as severe as yours and I did not require painkillers and a day later it had disappeared, never to recur. However some months later I did tweak my Achilles tendon and suspect it may have been related.

Try some gentle heel drops while standing on a step.
