Laura is on Chemo Finally!
Today, after dosing myself with Paracetamol, my husband drove me to my new hospital, The Circle, just outside Bath. Just took 15 minutes to get there. My temperature passed! I made it through to Chemo! Then, a huge glitch! The pharmacy didn’t make up the main drug: Carboplatin! They almost didn’t get

Bleed during Eylea Injection
Hi, hubby had his 17th Eylea injection yesterday for BRVO. Good Covid arrangements in place and he was the first appointment 👍👍 or so we thought. He zoomed in after a temp check but patients came out and he didn’t appear! The usual excellent nurse injectors were there, who fill him with much needed

Question about taking Painkillers.
Hello all, sorry if this post seems a little long winded. I suffer with chronic migraines. Sometimes all I need to get rid of them is basic paracetamol. Sometimes I take one tablet (Half the dose) and that does it. Sometimes it does not. I was wondering, when I just take one tablet, if after 2 hours

I'm new here, Pain in my joints, sleepless nights and im slowly losing movements and unable to function properly as they goes by.
I was diagnosed with De Quervain's tenosynovitis due inflammation on my wrist with a lump Nov 2019...I've had numerous tests and ultra scan to find the cause of the inflammation however the results came back clear. Was giving a steroid injection that makes the pain disappear and swelling disappears

A hello , a check in and a recommendation (Naproxen)
Hi Ladies, Hoping you’re all ok it’s been awhile since I’ve posted. I’m personally very eager to get the ball roll again with treatment and seeing a specialist, we wait so long in normal circumstances that this situation seems cruel. GP’s have been pretty good though I must say. I’ve recently

What painkillers are good for easing daily pain?
I use paracetamol and heat packs a lot, my doctors prescription is so strong it knocks me out. Is there a happy inbetween? That will help me get through the day but still be awake.

Dental treatment
Is anyone else suffering from a rotten tooth while halfway through chemo? I would welcome any advice. I am surviving at the moment, trying to stay on Paracetamol with Ibuprofen and codeine for when necessary. The dentist says I must have swelling and a temperature before they will consider seeing me.

Bisoprolol Be gone
Hi all, hope your well and managing the "lockdown". Just a quick update coming off the final 1.5mg dose, kept a few notes to share so it hopefully helps anyone who is also coming off or planning to reduce or stop bisoprolol. Today now the start of week 3, and so far the story goes. Week 1 First day
