11 days post op 😁, but bruises and burns setting me back, anyone else??

Hi All, so first time posting since my full hysterectomy and removal of endo11 days ago, this was done via keyhole, the surgeon was really happy with how things went and said they had removed all the endo 😁, things are going really well, the op was ment to take 4hrs but this turned into 7hrs! I ended up staying in recovery for longer as they couldnt settle my heart rate, but still only had to stay on the ward for 2 nights 😁, I'm now off strong pain meds just taking paracetamol and ibuprofen, but due to the surgery I've been left with bruises and what look like carpet burns on my back and buttocks, they said its cos I was head down for the procedure and had to be leveled 3 times so blood could circulate and this is where the Mark's have come from, but this is what I'm struggling with! The pain in my right buttock is so unpleasant that I'm still having trouble sleeping and sitting, I'm wondering if I should take my Morphine at night just to help with the pain! But I was really hoping that I could come off all this, the hospital and gp haven't been overly helpful about this side of things so I'm really not sure what to do?!?, I've also got to go for a scan on my right leg to rule out a DVT which the gp and DN said could be the cause of the pain in my leg, the DN also gave me a pillow to sit on which has helped with some of the discomfort in my buttock while sitting. I'm just wondering if anyone else has been through something similar with the bruise and burns?

After my hysterectomy in December I had a horrible pain that went from my bum and down my leg - almost like a trapped nerve feeling. It eventually eased off about 14 days post op when I was more mobile.

Hi, yes I had that sensation too but that seems to have subsided, it's just the pain in my buttock and across my lower back, I was feeling a lot better yesterday but dont feel so great today, I think the lack of sleep is getting me down now too, but other then that I'm feel a lot better then I thought I would.How are u doing? Are u back at work and a normal life? Xx
