Morphine & Oramorph.
Hi all, My dad is now bedridden with CBD. He appears to be in constant pain. Although he can't verbalise. Codeine is no longer keeping him comfortable. Today the GP has prescribed morphine twice daily and Oramorph in between. Has this proven to be an affective pain relief for others please. He already

Hello everyone! So yesterday I had my thyroid ablation in the Netherlands. I was scheduled for 10:30 am and had to be there at 10. I had to put on an operation dress and could only keep my underpants on. My blood pressure, temperature and oxygen saturation was measured. Temp normal, saturation 100% but

Post SCT question
I am day +35. I came home from hospital after 4 weeks, then back in again a week ago with a temperature of 38. My infection markers are normal, I’ve been on various antibiotics & had blood cultures taken for viral & bacterial infections, nothing’s been found. They are talking about sending me home, but

advice re knee pain.
hi, I’m a 58yr old, who suffers from an inflammatory arthritis, called ankylosing spondylitis, and mainly affects the spine but also peripheral joints. 10 weeks ago, I was on holiday in Devon, and suddenly noticed my left knee was buckling. A week later it gave way in the shower and I fell and gashed

Doctor won't diagnose PMR
I'm absolutely certain that I have PMR. But my blood tests all came back normal, including the erythrocyte sedimentation rate and the inflammatory marker test, and I'm only 56. My GP has just left me on NSAIDS and paracetamol with physio. It's not working. How common is it to have PMR with no obvious

Diclofenac
I am badly in need of pain relief for sciatica but terrified of triggering RLS. I am taking paracetamol, ibuprofen and gabapentin but wonder if diclofenac would be stronger than paracetamol.?

LPR - anyone managed to tame or cure this condition?
After a year of LPR, I'm still struggling and symptoms are almost as bad as they have ever been, despite heavy medication and lifestyle changes. Recent bronchoscopy has confirmed that it is LPR. I am maxed out on esomeprazole and from 3 weeks ago swapped from peptac to Gaviscon Advance. Also, have domperidone

ibuptofen?
I am about 10 weeks post aortic valve replacement. Prior to learning I had aortic valve stenosis earlier this year I always regarded ibuprofen as a superior pain killer to paracetamol. Might have something to do with a childhood in Nottingham where it was developed by Boots! Tended to use it for the
