I have been diagnosed with arthritis in knee and bursitis in hip. Have had two falls in the past few years ( one has caused rotator cuff injury) . I had a fall almost three years ago and landed on my other shoulder. Now having severe pain from right clavicle down to elbow. Waiting to see physio as I've requested a scan to see what's going on. Been waiting since March!!!Been on ibuprofen, paracetamol and codeine which help. But I hate the effects of the codeine.
I found Nettle Balm on the Internet (hand made with beeswax) and I've found it really takes the edge of the pain.

The following link will take you to a page that has a a playlist of the Pain Concern podcasts - Airing Pain. You can also now access the transcripts. The podcasts have some really helpful information that you will definitely find useful.
It may be worth discussing the possibility of being referred to a pain management clinic with your physiotherapist. It is a bit of a postcode lottery as with many services.
10 Footsteps, Living Well with Pain is also a great online self management resource. It is available as a face to face programme in some areas of the UK - particularly the South West of England, if you follow the link I think there is somewhere on the webpage that will give you that information.
