Confidence getting out and about
Was in bed for about 14 hours in the end (except eventually getting up for a cup of tea in that time) - at first I didn't even have the energy to roll over and get painkillers from my nightstand (period
pain
).

. The headaches are milder, the visual disturbances are still happening but not as bad, neck
pain
gone. The other night she said her arms felt really heavy.

I didn’t know if I’d be able to come back…..
I developed acute
pain
in both hips which made walking difficult and kept me awake at night and I resorted to taking
pain
killers daily. I went to see a physio who diagnosed that it was the small muscles in your bottom that join at the hip joint on both hips that were damaged.

Ankle pain and knee pain
In Oct 2023 my ankle
pain
was diagnosed as peroneal tendonitis. I took advice on footwear and did some exercises in the pool. The
pain
then moved around, under my foot and to my shin. I saw an Osteo in Jan/Feb and got some specific exercises.

Any advice for pain for a broken shoulder
I will try not to offend anyone haha. Could anyone give me some advice for my husband? 3 weeks ago he had a nasty fall playing walking football he is 73 years old and very fit. He broke his shoulder, bruised his ribs and his arm turned black and blue. Since then he has been to orthopedics to check

No Pain
I have been diagnosed with RA 5 years ago after I had knee
pain
which lasted 6 months. I was used to bad knees since my early 30's but never been in
pain
. Well, after a steroid shot I went back to my trekking.

Unexplained headaches
I still have residual
pain
in my lower back, hips and buttocks but understand that not everyone is
pain
free on pred but as long as it stays at the same level I can soldier on. In August I started having headaches. They are severe, on the right temple and
pain
in the right upper jawline.

chronic pain interview
In case these might be of use, here’s a very good interview with Kirsty Young (who has fibromyalgia and rheumatoid arthritis) to coincide with the International Association for the Study of
Pain
World Congress in Amsterdam. And a link to a useful site on living with chronic
pain
.
