Anyone get back pain/stiffness after eating a meal?

Yes I do get lower back pain and stiffness but not related to eating. Mine is worse just after getting going in the morning, but a bit better after a bowel movement,
But I have had a problem in the lower back since 1997 and well before I got IBS symptoms (2018 onwards) My problem is in the sacro-iliac joints both sides.
When I am very tired, lacking sleep, and/or having one of my "mini flare ups" my back pain is worse. I think because the whole system is under stress at those times and my back is my weak spot.
So mine sounds different to yours doesn't it?
Aww sorry to hear that. Yeah mine is different. Is there anything you do to help your lower back pain and stiffness?
Sometimes just resting it helps. Lying on the floor on a pad of blankets and listening to music! Deep Heat rub helps too (but stinks!)
And sometimes, going for walks but knowing when to stop and rest, can be very helpful. A good night's sleep helps also.
But I have structural problems. Some scoliosis, and pelvic misalignment,
Aww sounds relaxing thank you very much.
I love walks and absolutely.
Have you tried yoga?
Aww take care, reach out when needed. Sending love.
What a kind thing to say to me. Blessings xx
I haven't done yoga as such. I just tried a yoga position for trapped wind a few times and it works very well. I am very active physically in the day, so get loads of exercise, but probably need something more structured that is more targeted to my back issues.
My big problem is...anything that puts my body back in the right position again hurts like hell, so I can only walk leaning to one side! That makes sense. All the ligaments etc have adapted to the horrible situation in my hips and back, and when they are straightened, they are in an "unusual" position and strained.
So I just trundle on each day, say my prayers and keep going. So far -not too bad even though far from "right". I work on keeping as aligned as possible in a straight line when walking, and try to use my feet mindfully instead of just plodding. Weird, but doing that eases things. But going up hills hurts.
