In Major Pain

Hi all, I’m a 25yo female. I was born with spina bifida. I have a tethered cord due to the scar tissue from the closure surgery of my spina bifida I had the day after I was born. I have an appt the 29th with a neurosurgeon to find out if I can have detethering surgery. I’ve had bad back pain the last couple of months but the last two days I can barely move or it’s excruciating pain. I’ve literally laid in bed all day yesterday and today. I can’t keep living like this, I have a Monday-Friday job that I’m supposed to go to tomorrow but I can barely get up to go to the bathroom that’s a few feet away. I don’t know what to do. The pain and not being able to get out of bed is taking a toll on my emotional health.

story. I'm so sorry you have suffered so much in your young life. And yet, let me say

I believe in the power of the mind to help us with pain when medication doesn't fully

You may just have to take some sick days off work. I can't think of a more appropriate reason for taking some sick days. You have a real physical issue that's taking some time to address. You would probably be approved for some short term disability benefits. Best of luck to you. Prayers.

sorry to hear about you`re pain hopefully you find relief from it.my mum had 3 young kids all die with this hopefully you`ll be pain free again.

I'm so sorry you're in so much pain! I hope your surgeon has a solution for you that will give you a life with less or no pain! Take care.
