Oxycontin substitute?
Our insurance, which is through AARP, says it won't cover or fill slow release oxycontin so twice I just paid for it. Then the last time it was ordered, they changed it and filled it with oxycodone slow release. Is this pretty much the same? Harley has quite a lot of pain but much of it is nerves in

Restless Leg Syndrome. What is next for me after withdrawing from Pramipexole.
My journey through withdrawal from Pramipexole. For RLS. After suffering augmentation I have just reached day 9 without taking any Pramipexole at all. It's been so difficult and the hardest thing I ever had to do. Now it's time to consider what medication I can use for my RLS from here. I've done loads

Another newbie - osteoarthritis(OA)
I was a nurse/midwife and in the mid 80's had 2 lifting back injuries and was retired on health grounds at the age of 27!! Had every treatment available almost below surgery - even went for a trial for an external fixator but was deemed unsuitable in the end. Had some treatments that make doctors today

Opiate detox
Hi I have been taking Targinact and Oxycodone for years, along with various other pain medications for CRPS and Fibromyalgia. Now the Pain Specialist want me to get off these drugs, as they could now be doing more harm than good. However, I am expected to do this on my own, with no medical intervention

Thankful for the good days
I was diagnosed about three years ago and it has taken about two years to get on the right amount of meds. My numbers are still high but my flares are not as bad and I am getting better. I have a great rheumatologist and we communicate a lot. I have never had to change my meds except I went to methotrexate

Trying to get my oxycodone back under control
This may sound crazy but, I have do this on my own. What I mean on my own is with the help and guid- ence from the community. My confidence in myself has been destroyed, ruined, worn down, call it what you want, by a number of physical problems that came about in the last three years. Yea my retirement

I feel so ill and confused
Diagnosed in Dec. 2015. 20 mg of prednisone worked instantly but after 6 days it was lowered to 10 mg and symptoms came back in full force. Since then, my neck shoulders and wrists are ok but pain around pelvis and into thighs has increased to the point I cannot walk. I am now on 30 mg of pred and

pain management and pbc
Hi again - I am waiting for biopsy results, had my gallbladder out Tuesday and liver biopsy at the same time. However, before surgery I had chronic UTI's and terrible bladder pain. (I am immune deficient and pain stresses my immune system and makes infections worse.) I had just gotten a great treatment

My diagnosis is Anxiety and I can't understand it?
I am 32 and have had no health problems my whole life. About a month ago, late on a Tuesday night as i was playing guitar, my chest and left arm went numb. It wasn't overly painful but it was enough that I went to urgent care. They gave me an EKG, and said I was fine and sent me home. The following

Constipation!
When my Dr came around today, he warned me that this oxycodone would make going to the toilet difficult! He also warned me laxatives were not a good idea either. Please help! My husband must not find out about this. (update: he left) What do you guys use or do to cope with this embarrassing problem
