Thankful for the good days

I was diagnosed about three years ago and it has taken about two years to get on the right amount of meds.  My numbers are still high but my flares are not as bad and I am getting better. I have a great rheumatologist and we communicate a lot. I have never had to change my meds except I went to methotrexate injections. I als take plaquenil, folic acid, prednisone, oxycodone and dilaudid.  Every 3 months he changed the dosage.  It does take patience and a lot of strength along with the realization that your life will never be the same.  I wish all of you strength!  I am 64 years old.

Hi! Thanks for sharing your story with RA Warriors. I'm glad to hear you finally found the right meds and that you have a very good rheumatologist - I'm sure communication opens ways to get a better treatment! All the best :))
