Egg collection

So had a good egg collection today after originally worring about the growth rate of the follicles. We got 11 mature eggs, which im taking as really good news at this stage. Our first round of icsi we only had 6 eggs. So now on to the next bit of waiting 🤞 I will be starting cyclogest pesaries this evening which i have to take rectally, however from tomorrow i can decide whether i do them vaginally or rectally. Did any body have a preference or find one way is better than the other?

My first round of icsi I had utrogestran which I had to do vaginally.

It does not matter how you take the pessaries as they are absorbed in the same way so chose whatever way you find easiest.

Hi,

my clinic never said anything about the posibility of rectally, so I have always done them vaginally. Personally I think I will be choosing this as it is like using a tampon.

My clinic advised rectally and it is much less messy that way and I was told absorbs quicker. I’ve only rarely used them vaginally and you have to use a liner and advice is to lie down for a bit after inserting.

I have done both, rectally was better for me as less messy

Wishing you lots of luck! 🍀✨🤞 It’s very much a personal choice. I got sore rectally so did the other…messier but more comfortable for me. This journey! 🤦‍♀️😝
