Update on my first round of treatment

Following on from my first egg collection on Monday morning - disappointingly I only got two eggs, of which only one fertilised with icsi.

So the clinic recommended a day 2 transfer (as nothing to compare against) so I have my appointment tomorrow lunchtime.

I was of course hoping to have one or two embryos to freeze but as least I have one shot which is better than nothing.

I’m feeling ok, just a bit sad as felt really hopeful after seeing 6 follicles on the first scan. I have a feeling the big one may have ovulated early before EC as I had some thick yellow cervical musus on Saturday.

Now just hoping and praying it takes! Onto the next step of this rollercoaster journey.

Yes really wishing you well with your transfer. It is so hard when you have expectations of freezing eggs and it doesn't go how you thought. Hopefully this round will be the one! It took a few rounds for me being left with one egg to transfer each time and the 3rd one stuck. Each time they managed to tweak things and learn how my body responded to the medications. Fingers crossed for you 💞
