Pelvic pain with the onset of menstrual cycle

Hello! I was diagnosed with hypertonic pelvic floor dysfunction about a year ago. With PT every three weeks and daily stretching exercises I have had some improvement. I am finding symptoms return or are amplified before the onset of my period. Does anyone else experience this? Any suggestions? The pain is quite bad in my lower back, hips, and urinary tract symptoms like burning after urination. I am at a loss as to why they come on so suddenly and severely. My only connection is that it related to my menstrual cycle. Any advice is appreciated. I do take hycosamine pills to help with the urinary symptoms but they do not always work depending on how bad the pain gets.

Did they test you for pelvic inflammation disease at all?

I don't believe so. What is the test for that? They have done ultrasounds.
