Is it well known if we tense up during sleep if you have fibromyalgia? I have had a rotator cuff repair recently, but pain is worse at night. It feels like I have been tensing my whole body in my sleep, when I get to sleep or I keep waking up.

at night I use Nytol, it takes a couple of times to kick in but I do get 6 hours off one.

Not sure about tensing up, but I know that I get stiffness during the night when I'm sleeping because I'm not moving as much, and this leads to increased pain

I feel for you. I am worse with sleeping/insomnia in the winter time, as soon as nights draw in it starts. Round to March really. I was actually glad to have a general anaesthetic the other week for my shoulder op, as it meant I had a good sleep!

I have 4 Amitriptyline along with my Maxitram late evening (9pm) Then I'm 2Γ—2mg or1Γ—5mg Diazepams or variations of 2 & 5 depending on How Good/Bad my day was. Those about 30mins before bed.

Pushed by No Sleep - like last night ! (Am sure I'm not Alone feeling dreadful with this wet, cold, windy, wet Rotten days !)

If pushed, as I say, I'll go with Hot Milk, Honey & Spice Rum, or take the Shortcut & down 2 Sleepers !!

I don't, as a Strict Rule, take them often, but it's a Laff the Health Boards trying to get Us All off Diazepam, but My Doc. Never Questions me about much more Damaging Sleeping pills !

Anyroad I'll send you my Best wishes for an UN-tension Sleep, but as you say Fibro and Any other major Pain can Defo make us Unconsciously try Remaining still as a log, cos Moving Hurts & Hurt/Pains = No Sleep !

Anything BUT A Merry-go-round!

I tend not to sleep that well, most of the time, but I used to seize up (not so much these days) and be really stiff in the mornings - which is defo to do with fibro

Hope you get some relief from it x
