Any hope for reactive tinnitus and distortion or hypercusis to improve or go away after 7 months with it?
I've had my reactive tinnitus for 7 months now. It still reacts to music well lots of music. Classical music is where I noticed the least distortion but pop music I noticed whistling and beeps over it. Been going on like this 7 months now. My dad's voice sounds robotic and so does the tv and my own

At my wits end......
I have had tinnitus for the best part of three years and can usually cope with it reasonably well. I have had many spikes during that time and they usually quieten down after a few days but this current spike which is extremely intrusive has lasted three weeks which is unusual for me and shows no sign

Menieres, Vestibular Migraine, both or something else?!
I’ve been having symptoms for 2 years. ENT have now discharged me after balance tests were apparently normal - said there’s nothing wrong with my ears. My symptoms are: Intermittent random dizzy spells (lasting a few seconds) Moments feeling as though everything is about to spin Ear fullness - can last

Bloods and symptoms - interpretation and advice needed please. I'm new.
Sorry – this is going to be a bit of a history as this is the first time I’ve asked advice here but I would be very grateful for some feedback, please. I recently saw an endocrinologist ‘whole health’ consultant for a whole health perspective on thyroid and lifestyle/diet and my bloods were taken privately

What caused your tinnitus?
Having seen an ENT consultant (before the lockdown) who told me that T is caused by either a psychological or a physical trauma, I wonder which is the more common. For me, it was a combination of the two over an intense six month period (work stress, bereavement, family problems, dubious ear syringing

Hi, has anyone had orbital decompression surgery
Hi everyone, I had orbital decompression 2 years ago and I still have numbness on both sides of my face, my eyes still wobble as I eat and they've become increasingly sensitive to light and I often feel as though I have something stuck in my eye (like a hair) but the reality is, there is nothing there

Does anyone have Tinnitus here....does Bisoprolol make it slightly worse? I'm wondering if PAF med isn't helping?
Hi everyone, I haven't posted for a while as I am a little calmer and settled with my PAF diagnosis during June last year and have only had two episodes since then due to being careless with caffeine intake. I really appreciate the support and advice you gave. Anyway, I was just wondering if Bisoprolol

Underactive thyroid / M.E. help needed analysing blood test results
I was diagnosed with an under active thyroid aged 14 after 4 years of feeling ill and put on 125 mg of levothyroxine. Unfortunately at the same time I was diagnosed with glandular fever. I have spent years oscillating between feeling well and hardly being able to get out of bed . I practice yoga, rest

A changing city
A glorious morning in London and the city is coming to life. My warm up walk took a little longer after bumping into a friend in the street and having a socially distanced chat in the early morning sunshine. Only to find my first espresso since lockdown appearing from the local cafe owner and good friend

Earache ,again!
Earache again! My GP and I decided I should increase the Prednisolone from 11 to 12 mgms a day because after a couple of days on 11.0 mgms the earache creeps back . So I have to stay on 12.0 for another 2 weeks . Today the earache is creeping back, also a pain in the throat. Not sure what to do , should

Worried about Breast Scan
Hi. I had a breast biopsy last year on a lump which turned out to be a fibroadenoma. I had another lump in January which was nothing and now just had another scan as I am worried about a different lump. I'm so worried about the results. Has anyone else had similar problems with breasts and having so

Tinitus now incredible painful, only response by doctors is to prescribe Otomize spray which has serious side effects, what to do, in PAIN!
Getting very panicked now by the seeming ignorance of doctors where I am registered, I had drops to soften impacted ear wax, had my ears suctioned and was then on Cilodex for 9-10 days of ear drops The tinnitus has gone 10 x worse, its so intense that its now unbearable, I cannot really do anything,

BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND ... another dog / cat analogy
If you cant tell the difference between a cat and dog through the fog then dont bother. All you need do is whistle and call out come on fido and you will find your dog. By the way it doesnt work on deaf dogs or dogs who arent called fido come to that. This is how we knew (or strong evidence ) that my

MRI Experience and saying thanks
Hi everyone Emer here again from Ireland and I just wanted to post to say I had my MRI scan early this morning. I was very nervous and they were so nice to me. Two of the technicians brought me in to room and gave me earplugs which were actually tiny bit stronger than the ones I had plus headphones

Tinnitus for 9 years
Hi, I have had tinnitus for 9 years (am partially deaf since birth). Am reaching out as I feel it has been getting worse over the years. My tinnitus came about from a highly stressed event and around the same time having a panic attack (a truly horrendous experience) for the first (and only) time.

Face mask project part 1
Well, I was all set to try making a face mask, pieces are all cut out ready, when I got a message on Friday from brother who lives in an assisted living facility with his wife who is paralysed down her left side following a brain stem stroke. Anyway, he’d decided he wanted to give her carers thank you
