hi, my rheumatologist has prescribed Adcal and Alendronic acid. Due to oesphagitis because of Sjögren’s I don’t want to take Alendronic acid. Through research and the help of thyroid UK I now take vitamin D3 MK2 and magnesium. Pains in my chest which used to feel like a heart attack have cleared up since taking these. My spinal surgeon says it’s probably coincidence and my rheumatologist says osteomalacia doesn’t exist. How can I have faith in either - I don’t know where to turn as I don’t want my bone condition to worsen but I don’t want to take Alendronic acid as they can’t assure me it’ll do any good and I think it may do more harm on the rest of my body. Any advice will be greatly appreciated

hi, thank you very much for all of your knowledgeable help - I’m going onto the links to remind myself of all of the points regarding vitamin D and magnesium. I find it extremely disappointing that a spinal surgeon and a rheumatologist treating RA don’t even know that D3 can cure chest pains. Although the medical profession don’t seem to have caught up on this information I’ve found links online reporting peoples non heart related chest pain being cured by taking D3. My chest pains we’re getting more frequent but they’ve cleared up completely since taking D3 K2 mk7 and magnesium.
