Does anyone know if it is safe to scuba dive with enlarged spleen, portal hypertension and varices?
I have auto immune hepatitis which has led to cirrhosis, portal hypertension and varices (these are small and have never needed banding). I'm going to Egypt at the end of January (having finally found insurance!) and was wondering if anyone knows anything about scuba diving with an enlarged spleen and

Possible adrenal issues?
I've only tested it once but I do occasionally get postural and
orthostatic
hypotension
when standing from a sitting/lying position. I have read that a drop of 10 or more (I think of either systolic or diastolic is indicative of low adrenal function.)

Duloxetine
Does anybody know if it is alright to take Duloxetine at the same time as Levothroxine, my chemist says it is fine, but just thought, I would ask for any advice. I take them first thing in the morning, I can,t take the Duloxetine late in the day as it keeps me awake. I also take 10mg of Amitriptyline

What are the latest NHS guidelines for home blood pressure monitoring?
I was told by my doctor to take it twice a day [I think she said random times, not sure on that] and take it twice/three times with a minute or two in between. Then choose the lowest number and to do this for a week, working out an average reading. NOW she says goalposts have changed and to take 2 readings

How do I cope now?
Can someone please give me advice on how to cope? My husband died on Friday morning at the local hospice.(less than 24 hours ago) He had COPD and although we knew he was ill it was not expected yet least of all by the medical staff. I have not been to sleep since Friday morning when I got the phone

I am taking PARMID XL a calcium channel blocker for raised blood pressure. It's made it worse. Is it because I have stage 1 CLL.

Flutter Device
Hello all, Long time no speak!! I was just wondering firstly how you all are?! Secondly, I was just wondering if anyone has ever been given a flutter device from their physio...if you have one of course. If so, how have you found it, has it been better than postural drainage or equally as good?!

Can Vanishing Twin Syndrome and ITP be connected?
When I was 8 weeks pregnant with my daughter Beibhinn (diagnosed with ITP in Feb 13, at the age of 7 yrs), I had a heavy bleed with no cramps. At hospital they detected a heart beat. As I am O-Negative, I had to get an Anti-D injection. Beibhinn is O-Neg too. Numerous reasons for bleeding. I googled

Blood pressure again
Grrr. I thought I was doing quite well, gradually overcoming my anxiety, then all of sudden I get health anxiety because of a high blood pressure reading. I now have a monitor at home, and am finding that I am fairly high a lot of the time. Looks like I may need to go on tablets. Trouble is I am sure
