🥱🥱🥱 and sleep!
Hi guys. I have just had a liver transplant and I am struggling to sleep. I seem to wake every 4 hours and cat nap when fatigue kicks in. I have a fare idea that it is the medication. I'm just wondering if there is anything I can do without taking sleeping tablets. Can I just say, I'm taking vitamin

Oxygen user and covid antivirals
Hi hope you’re well. My parents are staying with me, dad tested positive with covid yesterday. He’s doing really well a little coughing now and again so pretty mild. So far my lft are negative however I’ve made enquiries and my consultant doesn’t think I’d be eligible for antivirals if I test positive

Transplant assessment delay - thanks for nothing PCR test!
Today I was expecting to be starting the process of thinking over whether I want to go ahead with a future lung transplant or not. Instead, I'm having to put everything on hold after falling at the final hurdle ahead of my lung transplant assessment which I was due to undergo today and yesterday. In

What a week!
Where do i start? Went up to hospital for angioplasty stent to ensure heart was pumping like a racehorses for eventual double lung transplant. Bosh… STROKE on the trolly and before i know it left arm and leg weakened but more worrying is LEFT HEMIANOPIA , a 50% loss of vision. Eyes surgeon and neurologist

The Melody Study
I 'qualify' BOTH as a Vasculitis Patient and a 'Solid'
Organ
Recipient (I had a Kidney
Transplant
, in July 2013). The Test is, relatively 'easy' to do, a small Finger Prick, followed by a Drop- of blood- onto a Test Strip... similar to the Lateral Flow Test Strips.

Question for those who have pkd and had a transplant
Hello I am on the waiting list for a kidney transplant and the meantime trying to do all I can to find a live donor. I get quite a lot of back pain with my polycystic kidney . I was wondering for those who had a transplant did your back pain ease at all. I know a transplant isn’t a cure for the disease

CD19 CAR-T cell therapy for B-ALL achieved remarkable efficacy with a complete remission of 70–90%
This looks interesting but way over my knowledge base. Perhaps some of you super brains can figure this out. In recent years, the increasing advancements and applications of cellular immunotherapy have enabled the use of chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cell therapy, and it has emerged as an efficacious

My beautiful 26yr old daughter lost her battle at 3.44am 14 Jan 2022 . It doesn't feel real. She should have only been in hospital for 5 days for IV antibiotics. She had severe lung disease (PPFE) and was waiting for a double lung transplant. 3 hospitals were looking at her xrays and scans , the Sussex

Your body is incredible. How connected to that are you?
Our bodies are incredible. They're always replenishing through a complex interplay of cell death & new cells. For me, having had a total of 10.5 years on dialysis, 7 of those as a teenager & two kidney transplants, there are so many ways to integrate, heal & remember our inner strength. Yoga is one

Liver Transplant Recipients
If you're a liver transplant recipient, please consider taking part in a new study by NHS Blood and Transplant and Imperial College. The ‘MELODY’ study is looking into the antibody response to COVID-19 in people who are immunosuppressed and vaccinated. To take part, you'll need to be over 18 years
