Chemo while low PSA
I have been diagnosed with a BRCA2 mutation, which is the reason I started with Lynparza (
Olaparib
). In addition I take daily supplements (Metformin, statin, vitamin D3 (10,000 iu), Wisconsin GinSeng and an Estradiol patch). Would doing chemo now be a 'smart' decision?

Any new drug treatments I can ask the doctor about? Running low on options
Olaparib
seems to only be for the "lucky" BRCA positive girls, so I am hoping there's something else out there that might give us some hope. Would appreciate any help you could offer. I browse around here a lot just reading you girls' posts. I love how high spirited and positive you all are.

UpDate on Olaparib
Had my check up on the 15th of September. All blood results are great,CA125 is down to 10! Fatigue is a huge problem but I do rest as much as possible. UTI is a common side effect ,which I am getting a lot of. I'm on the drug since January and so far it seems to be keeping things stable. Hopefully it

Experience getting Foundation One to pay for Molecular Profiling
Currently I've been on
Olaparib
since October 2015 for treatment of a CDK12 mutation that is being treated that is a comparable BRCA2 mutation. If one anyone has experience with their insurance company or with Medicare it would be appreciated. Dominic Marrese Typed or transcribed from my iPhone

6 month update on Olaparib
I've been on
Olaparib
for 6 months. My predominant challenge has been low blood counts and back pain from compression fractures in my thoracic spine. Despite fact that
Olaparib
can cause anemia, my platelets & HmG are improving! This is very encouraging.

Start of my 10th year and halfway through treatment
I'm BRCA1 and
olaparib
has been discussed but only for future maintenance. Such a roller coaster - we live with such uncertainty, but do our best to get on with it! I'm still working pretty much full time, and had a really happy night at the Oliviers a couple of weeks ago.

Would like to find out if anyone has had
olaparib
before .. How effective is this drug? Would anyone know if this is the next line of treatment if cabaxitazel is rendered ineffective? Thank you.

I've just read a really interesting paper on the use of these two drugs in combination. It was an American report, but when I searched it on UK sites, despite the good reviews it appears they are too expensive for UK use. Does anyone know if they have been used in combination with good results in the

I see that PARP inhibitors (
olaparib
) are being used in CUH but not sure about that, as I know it used when BRCA gene is involved & this does apply in my case. Other times it is used I know. So survived another day ; barely, and feeling so much better today.

Sadly its back
He also mentioned I would be an ideal candidate for
Olaparib
, the parp inhibitor, if it had been approved for use in the UK, however he did mention a trial or a compassionate application to the NHS drugs fund. I will have to find out more about these later.

The Cancer Drugs Fund review results
Olaparib
for maintenance treatment of women with a mutation of their BRCA gene was withdrawn from the process and is therefore unavailable. It is important to note that these changes are to implemented in March, and that women currently on treatment will be able to complete the planned course.
