I am concerned abt the pain level because I am no longer able to use
NSAIDS
. However I would like to hear personal stories from the people that are actually dealing with this on an everyday basis. We are the experts in my opinion.

Cortisone wore off after 2 weeks?
I can't take
NSAIDS
due to bariatric surgery so I don't know what to do. I can't have another injection until the end of September. Why would it stop working so quickly? I feel worse now than before I started PT.

Q18 asks about medication for RA but isn't clear if that means DMARDs or Biologics or
NSAIDs
or pain relief etc. I've checked with the student and she has said it is any medication that you take to control PAIN.

Again good CA125 result!
NSAIDs
like ibuprofen, and also aspirin, have been proven to have a general anti-cancer effect in the lab and in clinical reviews of those taking these drugs regularly for other reasons - see my previous posts. Aspirin is well known for its anti-cancer effect.

Hello 7 weeks ago I had protected sex. We had oral sex also. Last 5 weeks I'm sick. I had sore throat, headache and fever 36.7C- 37.5C max. Most of the time fever is 37.2-37.3C. And this fever never go away for last 4 weeks at least. At 6th week I tested for hiv and test was negative. I'm really

New study - American large study showing that ovarian cancer patients taking aspirin or NSAIDs have a better survival rate
Hi again. I typed this out once and it disappeared when I tried to add a tag, and so here goes again. The links below are a Lancet article summary, from 17 July (2nd link), and an article on 23 July by a science journalist about the article (1st link). The articles are self-explanatory. This was a

The only way to hold it to take
NSAIDs
and grit my teeth. The day 5 is the worst. It gets easier after that but I need to come up with the strategy to handle it and minimize the damage.

Another bump in the road!
Immflammation seems to be the culprit ,, so they started me in high doses of
NSAIDS
around the clock along with Colchicine once each morning . Cough medicine and told me to rest and keep aware of any new symptoms etc,, so yes, another 4 day stay at HUP.

Occasional Celebrex whilst on Eliquis?
I realise that anticoagulants and
NSAIDS
should not be taken together due to risk of bleeding, but I have read some studies stating that Celebrex has the lowest incidence of bleeding. Just wondering if anyone has opinions on if it would be OK to take Celebex occasionally for these flareups.

NSAIDs and Kidney damage
Hi so I've been advised by my GP to take Ibuprofen for my endometriosis pain, which is mainly around my periods, that's usually enough to manage it. It works best if I preload it so I usually take it three days before and then three days during, so a total of 6 days a cycle (about 30ish days). I've

I’ve never had this reaction before with anti-depressants or
NSAIDS
so I’m a bit worried! Does anyone have any advice or similar experiences they can relate to? Thank you in advance!

4 years post viral meningitis and still suffering horrible after effects.
I went to see her, explained the entire situation and she thought I might have hemicrania continua and wanted me to take indomethacin but I am allergic to
NSAIDs
so I couldn’t take it and she basically told me she couldn’t do anything.

Prednisolone and Crohns
Clear of infections and
nsaids
The GP has given me 5mg x6 a day as I wait for a pillcam endoscopy. My questions are, does this sound like crohns ? if it is how long does Pred take to ease my symptoms ? My mum has crohns also but is on pentasa and been in remission for 20 years.

Anyone had an Acute Kidney Stage Warning?
I can't tolerate
NSAIDs
, am not on any meds for high blood pressure, nor any of the other meds mentioned. Looking at the kind of patients at risk, I suppose I fall into the "frail, chronic disease, and low blood pressure" categories.

I'm on blood thinners, and was told no
nsaids
however today told the a couple of them to help with pain should be fine. I'm awaiting to see anticoagulant clinic on Monday but wondered if anyone has any self help ideas to relieve pain and get rid of it as laying down is a nightmare at the moment.
