Results of endscophy for acid reflux

After a very long wait in reception (private hospital being use by NHS) was worked up with OBS and medics etc. I went for the sedation as recommended by my nurse friends. It was done quickly and without me remembering the prodecure pass lying done with mouth guard.

Tiny erosions in pre pyloric areas and negative for bug. (Retest from last year)

Advise to go back to Doctors to discuss results and suspected erosions are related to the NSaids taken. I have taken streriods in last march/April that gave me acid reflux. Treatment was successful. This time I haven't been taken lots of ibrofen before it had good bad again but have taken melflaminic acid for period pains in July/September. Now taking ibrofen with parcemtol for really bad headache due to blocked sinus due to poltyic.only done this off and no for last 10 days.

Going back to doctors to discuss results next week. Tired need to sleep off sedation.

Had endoscopy last year due to severe acid reflux. Had ulcers on my oesophagus and some bleeding. Was pit on esomeprazole 40 mgs. My iron was also low and put on iron tablets. My Consultant told me I needed to loose weight as it was not helping acid reflux. Hope this helps.

Hi thanks for the information. I have tried esomproloze back to drs on Wednesday. I am 6lbs off my idea weight so doctors should be happy with my weight. Not taking ibrofen or aspirin ever again. Going to try panadol.

Will update when I been back to the doctor.

Sometimes l take gaviscon as well. I find if I eat three small meals a day. Natural yogurt. If a food does not suit me I avoid it like tomatoes. It's important to avoid constipation fruit helps in that area. I liked an occasional glass of wine bit avoid it now as I get heartburn.Hope this helps.
